Alright, Jeppers . I'll share a few with you. If you're looking for a story, I've certainly got a few.... This song meant a lot to me personally, and still does today. I was a city boy originally(first 18 years of my life), but went "on the lamb" ... for close to 4 years... in the mountains of upstate PA at one point. That was back in 2004. Stayed up there for close to 4 years, avoiding the law ....before the United States Marshall's finally caught up with me. In 2003, I was a single guy, with no children. That was over 14 years ago. I got caught with 3+ ounces of powdered cocaine. I was trying to take the fast track to get a down payment on a home, and had NO plans on continuing doing so for long. However, a confidential informant dimed me out. That "informant" had been doing it for years, so I never did find out who it was...they protected him. I hired a lawyer... $10,000 later... who did NOTHING for me (made another terrible choice), except push it off for a year or so. I got busted in 2003, then met my child's mother. She got pregnant during that year in between. We went to the preliminary hearing in 2004, but bounced to the mountains right after. I was looking at a 5 year sentence, with possibility of parole after a year and a half. You see, I had no children at that point, and my very first was due to come. There was no way I was not going to be there, not hear my daughter's first words, and watch her walk for the first time.... so I did just that(bounce). I even cut her umbilical cord (doctor fooled me into that). Yes, I finally did go away, and spent about two years in prison.... It was absolutely the most mentally challenging time in my life. While I was on the lamb though, out in the country.... I REALLY did get a sense of peace and relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed being a "country" boy for a while there. Got away from the "rat race" of the city life and loved it!
This song was one that I found while I was out there, and I absolutely loved it. Still do to this day. It absolutely means a LOT to me. I became a country boy at that point in time, and I loved it! This particular song has deep sentimental value to me. Even though I was "on-the-run" all those years before they finally caught up with me....those were some of the very best years of my life.
Great song and great story Doc. I never knew that about you. We all got stories.

Doc I knew some of that because you told me some. You are a good man and a good friend and a good dad to the kids. I hope your mom is doing better. I had a terrible weekend so far. I have been going down hill as far as the heart goes. I'm going to see a different cardiologist soon. Probably need to reopen me up and fix the veins again. I am so upset that I can't do anything much. I do okay when I take lots of Nitro but without it I would die if I tried to do two push ups. I am upset I could not go see divebitch . I am becoming to tolerent of the Nitro and have to do what the doctor says. She said I need to take a "Nitro-vaction" for a few days. That means just laying around and not doing anything and not even getting involved in telephone or other heavy duty conversations. It's all new to me to be so fucked up. I almost kept on my Nitro and went to see Dive anyway. But I'm glad I didn't. Like I said its new to me and I could easily make a mistake. I had to take one yesterday and so far I have none today. I love you Dive and all of the rest of you. The most stressful thing I did all weekend was watch a Replay of Red Zone. It had a lot of Chargers at Broncos last year. haha. Maybe I can sue the Chargers for a life time of heart ache.

Sorry to hear about the cardio issues you're dealing with. I had a feeling you weren't gonna make it out to see Beverly. That's a shame, but your health must come first right now. We all love you too buddy. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Another favorite....Mr Bob Dylan. This was his best work.
I do like Eric Clapton's version very much and I do like Guns and Roses in their own special way, lol.
Nazareth also done a cover which was ok. For those who never heard of Nazareth, they were the band who was famous for the song "Love Hurts".
Numerous other versions done, but none quite like the original. The original was done for the 1973 movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
This song means alot of things to me,and that makes it on my top ten all time.

Two for Tuesday.....
This one has been one of my favorite songs for many many years. It has saved me from some very troubling times. Just a masterpiece of a song IMO.
It was THE MOST favorite song of my cousin who died 4 years ago. I really miss her too. We were very close. Everytime I hear this song and another song by Triumph "Fight The Good Fight" It reminds me of her. She was a special person.
This is one of many things we had in common.....Wish you were here by Pink Floyd.
Beth...I wish you were here.

Maybe I can sue the Chargers for a life time of heart ache. Aw Sweetie, love you too. So badly wanted to see you, and knew you wanted to make the trip. I might've suggested a trip down to you, but was met with a surprise of my own upon arrival. He didn't tell me his on-again/off-again BF of 16 years had just retired from his legal practice in SF, and moved down permanently 3 weeks ago. He's got super-progressive onset full-blown Parkinson's. Doctor has never seen it progress this quickly (2 years ago diagnosed). So we couldn't do much, and can't leave him alone a whole day. I really hope you are getting the best care, and being your own advocate as well. You're surrounded by smart family, so you'll surely make the best decisions, and outcome. If another surgery could fix what went south, then it's all good. Don't get it w/the nitro. Is there only 1 dosage, and you take it only if you have to?

I love Macy Gray. I think thats the first time anyone has posted her. lol I love her too. Read that early on she thought her voice was horrible, and never considered performing, just writing. Her biggest hit, and hauntingly depressing video: Whilst still Tues..., this is the best cover ever of Sublime cover 'Smoke 2 Joints'

The first country song that is on my list of favorites all time. This was originally recorded by Hank Williams Jr. But I like Alan Jackson's version better.
One of mine and my wife's songs also as I proposed to her while dancing to this song as she poured her heart out to me. We just didnt know it would take us another 7 years to actually get married.

haha good stuff. Are you playing those for me? Thinking I'm not a rocker also? I once went to concerts Uriah heap, Emerson,Lake, and Palmer, Queen, and ELO all in the same month. I really liked Uriah Heap back then. I even liked Ken Hensleys single stuff. His was a lot mellower. Oh and Genesis way back when Peter Gabrial was the lead singer and Phil Collins was just the drummer. Lamb lays down on broadway. www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4o--q6xuvs
