I'm not real proud of some of things that happened way back then, but everything worked out great. I have a good relationship with both my ex's and have three wonderful kids. Funny thing. After Lynne and I split up I started dating Marlene. We were sitting at a friend of Marlenes looking at a photo album. I saw a photo of Lynnes old dog Duke. Marlene says this is Duke my friends dog. I said "Do you know Lynne T###?" She said ya she's my friend. I said "She's my wife" haha. Marlenes friend says. " I will just take you home now Craig" haha.

Another one of my favorites. Recorded in 1969 and released in 1970!! I was 5 then. haha.
I didnt hear the song until I was at least 20.
The song is about spirituality and being one with the universe and returning one day. It sorta reminds me of being at the beach, during the days I practically lived there in SC,as I heard it often there.
It has been covered by Jacob Dylan (The Wallflowers) (Bob's son), Joe Cocker and The Zac Brown Band.

Another of my favorite songs. Very little known band from the 80's. Hair band era. This is a rock ballad about lucid dreaming.
I have always liked this song, but never cared for any of their other songs much. Takes me back to a better time where life was much simpler.

I like most of Rob Thomas' songs. He is one of the best solo artist out there. If you are not familiar with him he was the lead singer for Matchbox 20,who made it big in the 90's. What most people dont know is he used to jam with Kid Rock early in their careers.
He lived in Turbeville SC with his grandparents when he was 12. A town that Jeffrey would know. Its a very small town we would go through on the way to Myrtle Beach, and if you blinked while going trhough the town you would miss it.
Made in 2009 this song is about his wife's auto immune disease. She actually sang backup on it too. Her diamonds are her tears of course. He is saying that hes watching her cry and not being able to do anything about it.
Quite impressive if you ask me.
The video is also great to watch. Alicia Silverstone is the woman in the video. If you dont know her,she also was in Aerosmiths videos. One of my all time favorites.

My second all time favorite song right here. One of my favorite bands. This video is the tribute band but has alot of the original members minus Ronnie Van Zant and a few others. The lead singer here is Ronnie's brother Johnny.
The lead electric guitar is Rickey Medlocke who used to be the guitarist for the band Blackfoot, known for their song Train,Train.
Very simple song with a great message. One that I try to live by. Great great song, and I will prob play this at my funeral. haha.

I dont know anyone who doesnt like this song. My kids were singing it when they were 5/6 years old. I remember this song from my school years, smoking pot, playing pool, drinking mad dog and listening to this. Man if I could relive those days. Seems like another lifetime. Good times with friends, and being young. Hate to say it, not fond. lol One of their best maybe. Got stuck at one of their concerts. They were a backup for Yawma Kakoane (SP!! lol). Okay, Electric Hot Tuna, yep. Had to be mid 70s, with my 1st BF, at ... The Fillmore East (?) IDK, on 14th St. There were 2 shows, one at like 7 or 8, this one started at 11:30, and Kansas was the backup band. I tried to fall asleep for their set, but it was the loudest I'd ever heard, louder than Led Zep, and I hated it. It was over at like 5:30 AM. We were taking the subway. Not sure what kinda lies I had to tell my parents, if at all. So here's one I probably posted b4, I see D-Step as the singer, but I see a good bit of myself in it, but not enough. Makes me somewhat regretful, the 'what ifs'.... EDIT: Seriously, read the lyrics. Surely you know (have known) people like this. Thing is, I've still no idea that path I chose is the best one. Ya know, in the scheme of things.

One of the greatest songs ever..... This is not the original, but I kinda like it. Alot of people on youtube didnt like it. Seems as if someone took the track and mixed it with a techno bass track.
Hard to believe this song is almost 50 years old. I listen to it quite often.

Alright, Jeppers . I'll share a few with you. If you're looking for a story, I've certainly got a few.... This song meant a lot to me personally, and still does today. I was a city boy originally(first 18 years of my life), but went "on the lamb" ... for close to 4 years... in the mountains of upstate PA at one point. That was back in 2004. Stayed up there for close to 4 years, avoiding the law ....before the United States Marshall's finally caught up with me. In 2003, I was a single guy, with no children. That was over 14 years ago. I got caught with 3+ ounces of powdered cocaine. I was trying to take the fast track to get a down payment on a home, and had NO plans on continuing doing so for long. However, a confidential informant dimed me out. That "informant" had been doing it for years, so I never did find out who it was...they protected him. I hired a lawyer... $10,000 later... who did NOTHING for me (made another terrible choice), except push it off for a year or so. I got busted in 2003, then met my child's mother. She got pregnant during that year in between. We went to the preliminary hearing in 2004, but bounced to the mountains right after. I was looking at a 5 year sentence, with possibility of parole after a year and a half. You see, I had no children at that point, and my very first was due to come. There was no way I was not going to be there, not hear my daughter's first words, and watch her walk for the first time.... so I did just that(bounce). I even cut her umbilical cord (doctor fooled me into that). Yes, I finally did go away, and spent about two years in prison.... It was absolutely the most mentally challenging time in my life. While I was on the lamb though, out in the country.... I REALLY did get a sense of peace and relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed being a "country" boy for a while there. Got away from the "rat race" of the city life and loved it!
This song was one that I found while I was out there, and I absolutely loved it. Still do to this day. It absolutely means a LOT to me. I became a country boy at that point in time, and I loved it! This particular song has deep sentimental value to me. Even though I was "on-the-run" all those years before they finally caught up with me....those were some of the very best years of my life.

Here is another one that is close to my heart....
At one point in time, my child's mother was very special to me. She was a good Mother at one point in time, AFTER I met her. Didn't even have a single alcoholic beverage during the 9 months of pregnancy with my daughter, nor any other drugs. I didn't even have to force it on her(which I absolutely would've), she did it on her own.
She was a party girl when I first met her at that time. She was living wild and free. She was totally lost, and so was I. I was about 23 years old at the time when I met her(39 now).
She was an absolute mess. I was too at that time. She had an apartment, she was a good looking girl....and I moved in(she kinda insisted).
I was Pablo Escobar at that moment, and she was a complete wreck "party" girl. She loved going out to the clubs. She was EXACTLY like Sharon Stone in the movie Casino(even looked the part).
However, part of my agreement with being with her... was that the crazy lifestyle HAD to stop for us both...or there was no way in hell I'd even consider being in a relationship with her.
Low and behold, she absolutely DID change her ways....for a number of years....before she unfortunately went right back to who she really was... once I had to go away and do my time.
Although we've been split for close to seven years now...my heart is still broken, and so are my children's. Always dreamed of having the happy family with the white picket fence. Can't turn a ho into a house-wife though. Their mother is a lost soul who will never find her way back.
Music has always been my life. You wanted a some stories, Jeffb....hopefully you enjoyed mine, and know me a bit more now.
This song STILL means a LOT to me, regardless.... Used to sing it to help her fall asleep.
Lot's of good memories. She let drugs overcome her though, and next time I'll see her is most likely at her funeral...
I took on a superman role....HUGE MISTAKE...ANOTHER song to explain shit you should NEVER do....
