ok here is what I what I propose. I like what you & packdog have both said and I think I've come up with something that just might work. I made a list of RB's/WR's /TE's/ & QB's that have values that need adjusted,I think we all know who the players are so that's why I'M not going to list every player/position. It maybe a little more work for me but I'm up to it. Here's what I propose: After this season the player value will be adjusted to their actual worth, some examples:Antonio Brown 4th round, we all know he is a 1st to early 2nd at best so his new value will be a 1st round. Keenan Allen & Michael Thomas both carry 8th round tags that would be changed to a 2nd round which is where they should be. Russell Wilson 11th round, Cam Newton 12th round & Aaron Rodgers 7th round ,all these would be adjusted to their proper value. Let me make this clear everyone who made trades this off season for players will be able to keep them at the present value however once he must be traded or dropped their values will be adjusted before being traded to a new team. Also any players you drafted with low rounds will be able to be kept at the round you drafted them in until the need to be traded.
I think this would keep the draft pool with more talent and give everyone a fair chance at players they presently can't get. We should probably put this up for vote to see what everyone thinks before this season is over and people go into hibernation.

Who makes the list? Where is the list? If your keep 4 guys and all turn out to be 1's do you miss first 4 rounds of picks? Is barkley going to be a 6 or 7?
I have more I think

Yeah, this was steelers1954's idea, so I'll let him answer. We can add the other suggestions too and vote on them all, or for none(no change).

I guess 1 issue could be that in 5 years there may be a lot of (4) tags Yes there could be and we would still have over-valued players, also you might still have trouble trouble trading for certain players because of the value placed on them. Nothing wrong with having value in a player but if they don't produce points value is of little use.

i think assigning value based on present perceived value could lead to issues. maybe someone disagrees. maybe a player hits the wall as they get near or hit 30. i still think simpler would be better. i would still prefer to just make guys go into the draft pool after two years (keeping all the values right now for 2019). this would correct the issue itself as players would be drafted accordingly and it would alleviate the formation of super teams. people with guys they traded for now will have the rights kept for what they anticipated as well. plus any time you nail a pick you can still reap the benefits the following season. can still trade for guys too with a year left
no one is gonna be scared to get 4 1st round guys when it's gonna still provide discounts in rds 2-4. that said i would prefer the value adjustments over no change

i would still prefer to just make guys go into the draft pool after two years (keeping all the values right now for 2019). t Would that mean I wouldn't be able to trade M.Gordon after this season and that I'd have to drop him back into the pool.

Is this list includin Thisbe years draft Anyone you traded for this off season or drafted this year would hold their value for the 2019 season. So that answers one question. Question 2 is how the hell is Rivers a 13th round tag? I drafted him in the 13th round??

I will tell yall right now.
Revaluing players needs to be done I guess,,,but in 5 years we will be doing it again.
Do we really want to go down this rabbit hole?
And like Packdog said....Everyone isnt going to agree on the value of a player.
For instance...Aaron Rodgers. Is he a 7th round pick? No,,,But is he a 1st or 2nd ?? I say no,and Im sure theres going to be some who disagree.
