Yeah, Donnel Pumphrey had a very discouraging rookie introduction to the NFL this year. We drafted him in the 4th round. Sounded like he had some real potential, especially considering he broke Marshall Faulk's college rushing record of 4,589 yards. I don't think he got a single snap during the regular season. Thinking we wasted a 4th round pick on him. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong in the near future. You've been talking about this Penny cat since last year, so I know you must really think he's good. Well, you were high on Kareem hunt this offseason, and you nailed that one. Ironically enough, Penny is compared to Hunt in the article you posted. Wait a minute, were you the one who wrote this article, lol? " It was around this time last year that I was going wild for a similar RB named Hunt. Like Hunt, Penny is this year’s most elusive RB." It will be interesting to see what team Penny goes to.

I just saw that poster reminding me about the combine, and wanted to remind you all by posting it here. He just so happened to be NFL Network's poster boy for the event. I do remember Vick saying this about him last year though... " this kid is five times better than I was when I was at Virginia Tech." That's a pretty strong endorsement, and if true, this kid could have quite an impact on the league.

I’d love to see the giants draft Barkley then trade up for Jackson wherever he lands.

Doc - I read somewhere that very few picks past the 2nd round make it longer than a year or 2. Depends somewhat on the position, as RBs are typically not drafted that high. This draft class id supposedly particularly RB abundant. Could be especially interesting in terms of FF, I'll leave it at that. I think tomorrow starts all the intensive conferences with interviews, metrics kinda stuff, right? Can't wait!!

Anything past the second round is kinda hit or miss for many teams, unless they have a guru scouting guy they can depend on and trust. Joe Douglas is that man for the Eagles. Came from the Ravens. Look him up. In all honesty, I'd say anyone in the first four rounds should have quite good odds on lasting more than just a few years. 5th round and beyond fits more into the category of possibly just a few years. Yes, rookie RB's will certainly be interesting this season, especially more so in the CTM league, because it's a keeper league. I've got the 4th overall pick here, so I'm feeling good about that. YUP, YUP.... get yourself combine ready.

It's onnnnnnn!!! Like right now. It's OLs right now, this afternoon is the RBs. I can't wait to see this Barkley, who is projected to go #2 overall, which sounds ridiculous for a RB.

Saquon Barkley and Nick Chubb led all RBs with 29 bench press reps at the 2018 Combine. Barkley and Chubb had more reps than all but 5 of the 36 offensive linemen to bench press at the Combine this year.

LOL @ Jared Goff & Jameis Winston. Both slower than an offensive lineman. Must watch.

Has anyone noticed they got rid of the starting gun for the 40? IDK if it affects their times (starting when they're good and ready) - it shouldn't but not sure.
