Ballard said we were willing to trade down the number three pick because of complete confidence in Luck’s rehabilitation. Offensive line, Offensive Line, Offensive Line, RB, WR, and coaching Luck to get rid of the ball faster. Your welcome. Well, we did take two OL players. The pundits say what they have in common is a nasty disposition. Depending upon who you read, the grade for our draft ranged from A- to C-. Won't know much until October or November, or even a couple of seasons from now. Interesting that we got a WR and a RB that late in the draft with sub 4.40 speed. Guess we need to see if they can play too.

Good news for Colts fans, I think... Colts have no doubt Andrew Luck will be ready by camp" There is no question in their mind that he will open training camp throwing the football," Casserly added. "Right now, they're being conservative. He's throwing a weighted ball. That's where they are right now, but he's going to start training camp. They're totally confident in that." Okay, well that's the first positive news I've heard so far on that front.

The papers are all extolling the capabilities of our rookies. Normal.
Little said about Luck.

Seems like almost every day we read about how special one of our draft picks are and how they were all leaders and high character people in college.
If you didn't know better, you might think we are going to field a competitive team this year.

Sizing up Nelson—no pun intended. The Colts keep raving over his size, strength, athleticism and football IQ frequently. Reich finally came out and said he is still a rookie and will have many struggles, to take some of the pressure, one would assume. This is a matchup I will be focusing on the season. Every NFL team is fun if you like all aspects of the game. Maybe only one team can win it all, but even the alsorans offer a lot of entertainment.
Glad there aren’t any grammar police here to call me out on my run on sentences.

Glad there aren’t any grammar police here to call me out on my run on sentences. That's silly shit the lefties do, so I think you're safe with typos and what not here.

Colts fans finally admitted Luck played almost two years with significant injuries. Pagano and Irsay should have both been hung by their balls with piano wire. Luck too crazy to have said he couldn’t go. If they had sat him down after the first shoulder injury, he would have healed two years quicker and we would have drafted where we belonged.
Oh well, here we are. Just hoping Luck can return to form.

Right now, Luck is pretty much ranked as the 11th Qb being drafted in FF, so there's possibly supremely excellent value for him, IF he's close to his old self. Big IF though still. Also same could be said for T.Y.Hilton, who would have excellent value if Luck is close to his old self. Hilton is basically ranked as the 13th overall WR in FF. I still think it's really worrisome though, that Luck took so very long to even attempt throwing a football. We shall see...

He willed us to several wins with a throwing shoulder that would have kept most guys on the bench. Having watched him over the years, I believe he leads the league in guts. Hilton is said to be in his best shape ever, but you hear that kind of stuff in the preseason. Real, or designed to get butts in the seats? Like you said, we shall see.

Saw Luck throwing on tv this morning. No 45 yard bombs, but his throwing motion looked good.

Luck looked REALLY good today. Revising my predictions. Colts win the SB. Or craig’s Chargers, of course.

The Indianapolis Star reports fourth-round RB Nyheim Hines continues to be used out of the slot in training camp.
Per reporter Stephen Holder, Hines is also frequently sent in motion. Hines saw a lot of time in the slot at NC State. The No. 104 overall pick is putting himself in excellent position to seize third-down reps in the Colts' up for grabs backfield.
This kid sounds like Sproles 2.0. Not every down bell cow, but can be moved all over the field.
Also: Peter King: WR Cain 'big star' of Colts camp NBC's Peter King reports sixth-round WR Deon Cain "has been the big star of (Colts) training camp."
"Look for him early on to make a big impact," was one of King's main takeaways from Colts camp. This is just adding to the drumbeat that's been steadily growing. The next step will be actually translating it to preseason games. If Cain can pair a strong exhibition season with his excellent practices, he's going to steal snaps and targets in an offense where they are there for the taking.

Yesterday we learned how the young defensemen are fast, flying around and hitting. Yep, Super Bowl. 2020 maybe...

My takeaway was things looked so so from the first preseason game, as you would expect. Some good plays and a lot of mistakes. Luck tried to force it in to Hilton on the first two drives and the Seattle defenders covered him fairly easily, knocking the ball loose.
Nelson gave me some fun moments. He flattened a couple of defenders on some run plays. Squashed them like bugs. Maybe we can call him The Orkin Man?
