If Bradford doesn't get traded and starts the season here, I believe the Eagles will probably be an 8-8 or 9-7 team this season.
They improved the horrible offensive line by bringing in a few veteran guards. That should make a HUGE difference, because the previous starting guards were more like 2nd or 3rd string players. The pressure up the gut the past few seasons was just embarrassing. Defensive coordinators were blitzing those weak links and collapsing the pocket. Our QB's had no area to step up into to make throws, and our RB's had to wrestle with defenders just to get the hand-off from the QB. It was bad, but has been addressed via FA.
Defense should be much better with some new additions, and I think Jim Schwartz as coordinator is a HUGE difference.
The RB situation scares me a bit. Ryan Mathews looked really good last season, but like normal(for him), missed quite a few games due to injury. We drafted a rookie who may be good, but he is still just a rookie. Outside of that is Sproles, who isn't an every down back.
I think Mathews is a huge X factor for the team this season. "IF" Mathews is actually able to stay healthy for a full season(big IF), I believe we'll still have a shot to "possibly" make the playoffs.
Please feel free to start your own team threads about any team you'd like to talk about.

Malcolm Jenkins says team is behind Bradford, and seemingly hoping he is the starter come week one. Makes sense to me, for now. I also feel Bradford is our best option to possibly have a winning team RIGHT NOW.

That's awesome. Mom has a ring. I know you had an inside thing as did I. But I don't have a ring! Sorry to hear that, Craigster... No ring thing. Those were some of the very best memories of my life. I know you and several others have heard the story, but I will tell it again for those who haven't. I got to go to Jeffrey Lurie's house(Eagles Owner) once for a barbecue. Sat beside Brian Dawkins while eating. My daughter actually had her diaper changed on Lurie's living room table that day(true story). My daughter's mother also had a funny ass run in with McNabb, when I sent her to grab us a few beers, as I watched over the kids. He told her, aghh.... double fisting it today I see. LMAO. She was mortified, lol. I had another BBQ I attended way back when John Gruden was the offensive coordinator here in Philly, and the late great Jim Johnson was the defensive coordinator. Had the chance to speak with both of them in a casual setting. Jim Johnson talked to me about his grandchildren, and Gruden directed me towards Randall Cunningham, who I then had a catch with. What an awesome time. My brother was a ball-boy for the team, and I actually have some pictures he took from that particular day, and others from training camp that he attended. He lived with the players like a college dorm setting that summer, and got to play Madden football and billiards with McNabb and most of the players. I will post those photos here for all to see, although I know many of you have saw them before.

This was my brother Nick, at the barbershop he worked at. He was wearing a DeSean Jackson type of jersey that I bought him for his 30th birthday. Unfortunately, my brother is no longer with us. He passed about a month after his 30th. We actually decided to bury him in this jersey. Figured it was fitting. My Father's idea actually. Said he couldn't stand to see him all stuffed up in a suit, because he never wore them. I just went along with it. Talk about some true Eagles fans, huh?

My brother was artistic as well, and he made this drawing of DeSean Jackson. Had it signed by a few players. He never had the chance to give it to DeSean, but he gave a copy to Brian Dawkins, and Dawkins gave it to DeSean. During one of DeSean's locker room interviews on television, he had the copy of my brother's drawing actually posted up in his locker.....

These are the pics he took during the day I was talking about, at Jeffrey Lurie's house. Unfortunately I wasn't in any of em', as I was too busy with the kids, while he was there with his friend. Starting from the left: Todd Pinkston, Koy Detmer, My Brother Nick, his friend(standing up), Brian Westbrook, Freddie Mitchell.....and last, but not least....the back of Donovan McNabb's head on the far right hand corner. Andy Reid and the Owner all conversing with us in the same area. My brother's friend getting a shot with Jeremiah Trotter, a.k.a. the axe man!

These are the pics he had taken during his training camp experience as a ball-boy one year. I'm so freaking envious that he actually got to play Madden football against McNabb and other players, and ALSO shoot billiards. In retrospect though, I'm truly glad he got to enjoy such a unique, once in a lifetime type of experience. CB Al Harris. BTW- McNabb loved busting my brother's chops about the bleached hair....called him Slim Shady, lol. FB Cecil Martin. Troy Vincent. One of the best CB's to ever play the game. Vincent was also the president of the NFL Players Association from 2004-2008. Currently the Sr. Vice President of NFL Player Engagement still to this day. The Mitchell's. Brian(left) and Freddie(right). Brian Mitchell was perhaps one of the most deadly kick/punt returners of all-time. He is currently second on the NFL's all-time list in all-purpose yardage with 23,330 yards, behind Jerry Rice. He is also first all time for combined yardage for a non-wide receiver. His 13 special teams touchdowns are second in NFL history, behind Devin Hester, and his nine punt return touchdowns are third behind Eric Metcalf with 10. He used to play against us as a Redskin, and I still remember my pop being scared to us kicking him the ball, lol. Thankfully, he became an eagle, and did very good things for us here as well. Freddie Mitchell was a beast for the Eagles during the playoffs in 2004, when Terrell Owens was hurt the entire playoffs, and didn't return until the Super Bowl game. Freddie was the man that helped us get to that game during the absence of T.O. and feel he never gets credit for that. He's most famous for the infamous play forever known as "4th and 26"

Jason Peters will be 35 (!!!) in Jan. Look at the rest of that o-line. You're gonna hear about all the QB implications. They're not gonna throw what they hope is the future face of the franchise to the dogs. China Doll Bradford must be losing sleep over this on a nightly basis.

This is REALLY not good at all. He is appealing, and we just better pray that he gets a favorable decision. REALLY changes my outlook for any optimism for the team if he's gone for extended time this season.
