Eagles GM. How do you handle the Nick Foles situation this off-season?
He's still under contract for another season at just $4 million.
It's obviously in your best interest to hold onto him, especially since nobody knows for sure when Wentz will be 100% again, or if he'll be the same QB for sure after his injuries.
However, if a team offers up an early first round draft pick, that would be hard to pass up... right?
I know Foles wants to stay here, and we want him here. Shit, he was the MVP of the Super Bowl. Also, they didn't win just in spite of having him as the starting Qb, he was the main reason they beat both NE and MIN. He balled out.
What do YOU do?
There could possibly be an offer for an early first round draft pick for him. I say throw him an extra million or two to show appreciation, let him know what shitty team it is offering that 1st round pick, and let him make his choice on what he wants to do. I think it's a win-win at that point.

I think the Eagles just want it MORE, and the main reason I think we're going to win is from the overall talent and depth on our defensive line.... It's not just the defensive line though, this entire Eagles team is stacked with talent and are hungry to go out and prove a point. I believe they're a better overall team who is hungrier to win, and I think the results will speak for themselves. If for one second you would've told me that Brady threw for over 500yds and was in a shootout with Foles in such a high scoring game, I probably would've predicted us to lose the game. So much respect and credit to Foles and Pederson. Nobody saw it turning out the way that it did, but I believed we were the better team overall and would find a way to win. I was right and can't be more proud of this team. Losing Wentz was such a hurt piece, but to be totally honest, the legend of this team is even more so validated winning it all without Wentz. What a story-line!!! So what do you do with foles now?

It's the most important position on the team, and nobody can say for certain if Carson's knee will hold up after a tear of both MCL and ACL. Just look at Bradford and RGIII. Will Wentz even be 100% by the start of the season? Nobody really knows these answers, and I really don't know what else Foles has to do to prove himself as a legitimate starting QB anymore at this point. All that being said, if the Eagles are offered let's say the #4 overall pick from CLE, #5 overall from DEN, or #6 overall from the Jets... well that'd be really hard to pass up on.

If the Eagles get offered a big return then they need to take it. Foles value will never be higher then it is now so if they can turn that into another piece it will only help to set them up long term. This is the same thing that NE has done for so many years to continue to stay at the top. Sell high, buy low and acquire picks for aging high value vets. That is the model for success in a cap league and with a legit franchise QB already on the team they are set for a long time. Yes he had a bad injury but he is not only a running QB but the guy can make all the throws so even if he slightly adapts his style he will be fine.

An early first round draft pick would be kinda crazy to pass up. Get another cornerstone piece like Cox or Lane Johnson with it. I wouldn't want to do it for a 2nd round pick though. I want a top 15 pick. CLE, DEN, NYJ, Bengals and ARI could all be possibilities. Maybe even BUF for their 21st overall?
