I made this thread because it needs to be talked about. I TOTALLY agree with Mitchell on most of what he said ,,,but especially about Roger Goodell. Things are going on in the NFL that if they dont change it will be the end of them. AND I agree with Jerry Jones about Goodell. Iam from the old school and this is NOT your daddy;s nfl. This product sucks compared to what it once was. "The Autumn Wind"

Listen....Truth has been spoken. Wow. That was bold and daring. I agree with basically everything he said too. I've been saying for years now how ridiculous the new age rules are for defenders in the league. It's almost like they've got no choice sometimes but to: A.)Let the receiver catch the ball B.)Then wait for them to turn around and locate you before hitting them It's not fair for the defense, and it's not real football. They're playing against world-class athletes who can absolutely turn around and make them look ridiculously stupid, and even cost them their jobs if they hesitate trying to tackle somebody. Just look at the play along the sidelines where L.Bell went for a long TD when he should've been knocked out of bounds: link The defenders are playing hesitant and scared. He said it perfectly when he said it's like you almost have to ask the receiver if they're ready to be hit. It's absurd. Also like he said, the same thing goes for when you're going full speed in an attempt to hit a player in the waist area, and they dive or lower their head into you at the last second. Some of that simply can't be avoided, and that is football. They absolutely do need to continue cracking down on vicious and ill-willed shots to the head area, no doubt. However, they need to do a much better job at distinguishing and separating that of which is normal and unavoidable contact, between from that of which is intentionally foul.
