Remember this guy? Rodgers is still on injured reserve, but he might be making his return to the field this weekend. The practice field, that is.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that Green Bay is looking to have Rodgers practice in a "trial return" on Saturday.
When asked whether Rodgers' return can inspire the playoff-hungry Packers, McCarthy said, "Absolutely. I think it's a big deal when you see your leader out there. Definitely." linkDoes Rodgers play again this season?

I think he'll play, playoffs or not. Remember, week 15 is still 3 games to go - 15, 16, 17. They are sorry they put him IR, or he could come back next week (14) at the latest. But at 5-6, they'd never catch MIN, and a wild card, get in line at 9-6, best case scenario. IDK where you get this 'Saturday', he's been throwing all week. Guess not in a real practice. But they don't practice on Saturday anyway.

If theres a chance they can make the playoffs...yes. if not....no. Yeah. I agree. It would be asinine to play him if they're eliminated for contention. That being said, looking at the standings; it doesn't look like they've got a shot in hell to make the playoffs. I added him to one of my FF teams that still has a shot to make playoffs cause' I'm not hot on the current starting QB(Carr) Odds are Rodgers probably doesn't play another game this season.
