Just got back home about an hour ago with her. Her fucking asshole school bus driver reversed into a car. My daughter was in the last seat and got whiplash and a slight concussion. I'm pissed like a motherfucker right now. I'm glad I didn't know the details of exactly what happened when I pulled up to the scene, and the bus driver was still there. I was too concerned with my daughters condition at the moment to find out all of the details.
This mother fucker was driving over speed bumps fast as fuck, throwing the kids around in the air. My daughter said her back was already hurting her from that, before he even reversed into another vehicle. She was having a hard time breathing after that, kinda hyperventilating and shit, and this asshole said "alright, who's the kid supposedly having a hard time breathing?" He said it with an attitude too.
Top it all off, I step into the bus where some douchebag EMT dude is checking her out. He tells me all of her vitals are good, and that she's just shaken up a bit. I look at my daughter, and asked her "honey, are you okay? Does your neck or back hurt at all?" I DID know the the bus had a rear-end collision where she was sitting. She tells me yes, that her back and neck are hurting her. Then the douchebag emt acts all surprised and shit. He's like "well that's the first I've heard of it", as if he were some type of lawyer defending the school/bus company, and that we were suddenly colluding on a story to sue. What the fuck was he doing with her for 15 minutes before I got there, that he didn't fucking know about her neck and back hurting her?

I'm telling you, this whole situation has me hot ass fucking hell. I haven't even received a police report or anything yet, although they did ask for my address. Can't wait to get that in the mail. Like was this fucking dude drunk or high? She's back home now, after about 4 hours at the hospital getting scans done of the back and head. Got her on muscle relaxer and ibuprofen. Who knows how she's going to feel tomorrow and the days going forward after that. Whiplash is serious shit that can linger for quite some time. Everything checked out without any serious damage, but some of it doesn't show up in scans, especially concussions.
She's staying home tomorrow, and maybe friday too. I'm going up to that school tomorrow to have a talk with those in charge. First things first, that bus driver better never fucking drive children ever again, and if I don't like the vibe I get from them about all of this, there's gonna be hell to pay for somebody.

Sorry to hear about this but glad your daughter is okay. I'm sure the school will check into what the driver did and if what you've said is all true I'm sure someone will be looking for a new job.

I've heard stories of the insurance companies trying to get you to sign something saying you are okay. Especially if they give you a little settlement. They do that in case the whiplash gets worse later down the road, which they do sometimes. Be careful of what you sign.

I've been on the phone a good part of the day with her principle, assistant principle, and person in charge of the bus situation at the school. Said they're reviewing the video footage, and took statements from other children on the bus. I'm getting legal advice from an attorney tomorrow.
An accident is one thing. I understand; they happen. This was more like pure recklessness from the driver, who didn't seem to give a rat's ass about the precious cargo on his bus. I may have been able to give the driver the benefit of doubt, had not all the other factors been in play as well. It wasn't just the accident. My daughter said she was alarmed right from the start because she never remembered a school bus driver go as fast as he had been going. Then he's flying over the speed bumps bouncing them all around. Then came the accident where he reversed into a car, despite the kids yelling at him that a car was behind them, and to stop.
Then the fucking asshole EMT. The whole situation sickens me.

First off, she's only 12, so muscularly & skeletally (if dem's words) should be fine, heal right up. But you never know, so don't sign anything is right. There is nothing you'd get as far as lost wages, that kinda thing. But make sure she gets the benefit of every kind of test on their dime and the benefit of time to make sure it doesn't act up. Try to stick it to that fucktard bus driver. In the meantime, it would be like lightning striking twice, but tell your daughter not to ever sit in the last row. No seat belt can save you from the f-ed up construction of the typical school bus.

This motherfucker seemingly was trying to avoid her going to the hospital to be checked out. I'm wondering now if he's friends or family with the bus driver or something. The entire situation was fucking terrible, and I'd like those responsible to be held accountable.
