Had a seizure, went to the hospital... then had another just now, at the hospital. Bit her tongue and all. I'm freaking out. I pray it's nothing serious, but I'm legitimately worried at this point. Please send prayers our way.

Sorry to hear it. Call me. Like Craig suggested, curious to know if this was way outta the blue. Hope it's just a weird anomaly.

Seemed like the same thing with my mother tonight! She's still alive, but NOT out of the woods!

Hang in there buddy. It's tough. My Mom was in the hospital 6 times in 2015. Doing fine now. Things can work out.

Any update for us? We think about you ya know. She spent the night at the hospital yesterday. They did a number of test, and so far haven't heard anything bad. Not sure if all of those results are complete yet, and the neurologist had another test still to do, so it looks like she'll be there overnight again. She seemed okay when I went to see her, but one thing she said was kinda scary... she asked me what year it was when filling out some paperwork. Apparently she wrote down something like 1991 on one of the papers, and like 1997 or 2007 on another? Maybe a concussion from her falling out? Hoping she didn't get any serious or long term brain damage from this, and hopefully all of the test come back without any terrible news.

All test have come back okay so far that I know of. Some type of level was low in her blood, so they're gonna keep her one more night til she levels out... hopefully.

Levels in your blood is very important at your mom and my age. I have been having blood tests a lot due to meds. Does she take medication? They need to fine tune that. My mom was low on Potassium and it caused trouble. I was high on potassium and low on blood pressure a few weeks ago. It caused lots of problems and it was all due to the medication. Adjustments are needed and very very important.
I guess what I'm saying is if she is starting or stopping any medication, she needs full panel blood tests every few weeks to see what the meds are doing to her body. IT IS UP TO YOU TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU ARE TAKING! Very important to be aware. I learned that because different docs will prescribe something and then something else. They don't communicate as good as you would think.
After a few months or so of adjusting, you can then cut back on the blood tests. The meds side affects are real. Especially long term affects. I would love to do it naturally but I can't eat ten cloves of garlic every day. haha. exagerating I know but true.

She doesn't take medication outside of a low milligram Xanax at bedtime though, so not sure what the issue is. She had a seizure about 30 years ago, and another time she almost passed out...not sure if that is related though. She went in Thursday and hasn't come home yet. Spending another night today.

Muscle protein = Troponin T. That is what I tested high for. It is an enzyme put out by trauma to a muscle. Usually the heart. Women have way different symptoms of heart trouble than men. Not sure if seizure is one but you might want to ask the doc.

Not sure if seizure is one but you might want to ask the doc. Her Troponin T level was up at 8500 yesterday. Down to 5500 today. She tells me it's supposed to more like 500-600. Damn, she was WAY over. Like you said, it elevates when trauma is caused to a muscle. I know that the brain isn't a muscle, but sort of behaves as a muscle. There are some theories that describe the brain as a muscle, in the sense that it can be trained to improve different cognitive functions... like working memory or math skills. I'm fairly certain that a seizure causes trauma to the brain, and that's why her level was/is still so high. She may end up having to spend another night in the hospital.
