Here is the link to the story CD dug up. Craig said that the dates didn't match up with Hitch's last post though, so I'm not sure. Fatal Farm Tractor AccidentWe followed up more after that. It was his town and his age. And he always talked about driving his tractors. He had a son as did the guy who died. The one thing we found that we could not explain was there was a post by Hitch two or three hours after the accident. Can't explain that. But then no more posts ever. That can be credited to a technical glitch or possibly he has his computer left open and someone else posted the comment or he had the comment pre-written and someone just clicked send. But I don't believe someone would fight so hard to be reinstated and then just disappear. I can't rule out the possibility of hitch being this man's brother either, maybe he was struck with too much grief or had to take care of so many other things that NFL.com was lost to him. We'll likely never know the truth.

We'll likely never know the truth. I have to go back and check the date Craig had posted as hitch's last. It's in my email somewhere. Then I'll recheck the obituary time of death again, just to double check. The story was kinda strange too, about how the tractor ended up falling on him. Said it went over a road and crashed into a parked car, causing it to fall on him. Was this person high or drunk, or maybe just fell asleep?

We'll likely never know the truth. Maybe it's best we don't know at least we have the memories. Hitch was a smart person I'm sure if it wasn't him that died he would have found us at Panthers forum...

I didn't know hitch but for about a month after I showed up. I didn't really know him either. I had a small "conversation" with him soon after my arrival to the forums. It wasn't a pleasant one either, lol. I didn't realize what had been taking place there, and walked right into some games they was playing on the newbs. When I had the chance to go back and read what had been taking place there at that time, before I arrived.... I totally got it and think it's hilarious now. He was the ringleader of the "Graveyard", which basically he created and ultimately even named. Although I never got to know him like that, I won't deny his his impact as a legend

cutthemustard.proboards.com/user/10/activityJoined a group on July 29th 2016 but last online Jan 1st 2013. Did CD join this group or was he put in? It would be nice to talk with him again, if I remember correctly he was a Carolina fan. I'm gonna ask him how he felt last season if he ever shows up again.

I added him into a group in case he does come back. I sent him a few emails not too long ago. That's how I got Dstep back, and it took him quite a bit of time after the emails too. Figured I might be able to do the same with Corndog. I have an email for him from the site here, but not sure if he uses that still. Any email addy that any of you have for Corndog, please PM them all to me.

My memory is a little a fuzzy---- but.... I remember you posted something funny in Customer Service. I remember I laughed and asked you to go to the Graveyard. Did I spell invite right back then? I have actually gotten better at spelling due to ff.

corndogupyours - "5000th Post - A Dedication": To the best of my knowledge our friend Hitch has passed away. You see, for the past few months I have been trying in vain to reach out to him. It wasn’t like him to simply disappear for this long. He loved the forums too much. He would never admit that, but he did and many of you OG's know this. Being limited on ways to reach out to him, I decided to do some good ol' fashioned detective work. No, I did not do anything illegal to find out information... i simply read... ALOT. I read through years of posts... putting together bits and pieces of information... and then relying on the internett to validate my findings. Finally, everything I had led me to one place. An article. The article was about a farmer who had died late at night while moving a tractor from one place to another in the snow.I don’t think Hitch would mind me stating the ironic thing is that we had joked about this in the past... it’s just bizarre. In fact you can even find an old poll we all did as a joke on what had happened to Hitch. The description, the age and the date it happened were all too close to ignore. There were other facts and tidbits that the article listed that matched up with Hitch's also. There were even comments on the article from locals who knew him... these too matched descriptions of what Hitch had told us over the years. After doing one more technical cross check, it was a match and therefore gave me enough information to feel nearly certain it was our Hitch. For obvious privacy reasons I will not list the article here. [ really? lmao ] ]No, I cannot stop you from doing your own research and finding it[this is also hilarious. And I think he did post the article, but I sure as hell didn't look for it. , but we can’t have nameless trolls knowing his family name and location. Let’s face it… for every friend Hitch had… he had 3 enemies! LOL. Maybe I can post it sometime on the PBs after some thought. I have to thank Craig for his help on this as he was the only one who knew I had found these links. He did some of his own detective work and contributed to this effort. I can’t stop anyone from being disrespectful, but I can simply ask nicely. This doesn’t mean we can’t joke and think back on the funny times… because Hitch would have wanted that. He wouldn’t want us to treat death so seriously! While doing my research I really had to stop because I was laughing so hard at all the shenanigans he was involved in. It was a strange and sickening feeling to be sad about the death of someone I have never met… but it is that feeling of finality that makes the loss real. Many of you had battles and words with Hitch, but you gotta admit… he always knew how to liven up the place like no other has done! Cheers to Hitch! I dedicate this post and this thread to you, my friend. PS- Craig had the idea that we should all don the pink zombie rabbit for the weekend. It will be 1 year ago that he stopped posting. If you would like to participate, but don’t know how let us know. PSS- for anyone out there who DOES research this… yes, there is one strange fact that we cannot figure out. Good luck. Posted by corndogup10 Worried about his family when it's been over a year (last post 1 year ago?). It's not like it would've been a scandal, right? Anyone, I do recall him or someone posting the article. Location an obscure Wisconsin town. No one knew where he lived, nor if he even farmed (doubtful) lol and it's a very big state. There was something not quite right about corndog. He wasn't even into football, was he? haha I know the story Doc but I would agree that ModMB may have gotten his info crossed. Unlikely D & CD are the same person. EDIT: Please DO expand the quote, I added a couple things.

He wasn't even into football, was he? Yes he was,as a matter of fact he did play 1 year in my NFFL League.. Remember MB saying there were only like 12 accounts the rest were all fake, I take when he said that he was talking only bout the Graveyard..

moving a tractor from one place to another in the snow. Well, this happened in the middle of April, and I didn't see any mention of snow in the article? Not sure where CD saw anything about "snow" And I think he did post the article No, I don't believe CD did post the article publicly. He shared it with just a few of us through PM or email. Worried about his family when it's been over a year (last post 1 year ago?). A year ago... where? It's been over 3 years since he's been online here. CD's original post about this was at the original "Graveyard" on NFL.com, on his 5k post. There's no way to know the exact date he posted that there. All I see is the date that Panther transferred it over to his site: 8/8/12. Did you mean he originally posted the story about a year after Hitch disappeared? BTW- It's been at least 5 years later now, so I didn't see any harm posting the article here. No one knew where he lived, nor if he even farmed (doubtful) I never heard him mention where he lived, but apparently a few others remembered him mentioning it. I can remember seeing him post about farming, so I know that much is true. I know the story Doc but I would agree that ModMB may have gotten his info crossed. Unlikely D & CD are the same person. No, they are not the same people, unless it's the most diabolical person I've ever come across. It's apparent you don't remember how it ended either, as even I forgot all about how that whole thing ended. Not sure if I ever shared that part with you or not. Don't mention it publicly if it does come back to you. Me and Corndog figured out where all of the confusion came from on that issue. We never spoke of it publicly, and probably never will. Can't believe I forgot about how it ended, but that was 3 years ago, and a LOT has happened since then. All of it just came back to me when going through my PM's with CD. We had a lot of lengthy conversations.

Not talking about here or even NFFL, where I think he posted just 8 months ago nflfanforums.proboards.com/user/45/recent . I know CD posted it in the GY. How else could he have had 5k posts? lol I don't remember a darn thing about it being April or the snow. Follow this... he said (in the 5K post at NFL GY) he was posting almost a year to the last time Hitch posted. And he wouldn't post a link to the article cuz of Hitch's family. Do you now see where an entire year removed from a death and the super-huge unlikelihood on some NFL Graveyard poster would be to do further PI to get the phone # of any relative and contact them for any reason whatever?!?! Do you not see how ridiculously far-fetched that is? Anyway, I don't recall if there was a way to follow anyone's posts. I think there was, but I'll take your word.

Interesting he posted at Panthers site just about 8 months ago. Thx for sharing the link. I wonder if he lost the link to this site? PM me any emails you can find for him. It may be different than the one I have. I don't think it was too far fetched back at the NFL site, even a year later, for some nutty butty to do something silly involving hitch's family. There were millions of people that visited that site, and who knows how many thousands... just in the forums we spoke at each day. We ran into some REALLY strange and disturbed trolls there who went above and beyond to bring down the site down, just because of our area....the graveyard. Constantly calling the office in NY and emailing on the daily several times as well. Some of them were seriously hell bent on bringing us down, and were willing to put in the time and effort to do so. There were several of them too. Then there were hundreds of people that followed the Graveyard saga as a guest, but never posted. That being said, I don't think it was ridiculous for him not posting the link on that site. Hitch DID have a LOT of haters there too. It's fine for us to finally make it public here, now... 5 years later. I'm gonna call you if you ain't busy. Wanted to share something with ya. EDIT: Nevermind....just gonna send a PM instead.
