do we have any confirmation as to whether or not he was right? No confirmation. It all sounded good, but one thing was a bit off I think with the date of the article compared to the last post date by Hitch? Something along those lines. I have it all in my PM's here. Me and Corndog were going back and forth discussing this at length. I'll try to explain it better later tonight.

When I look back on the Chris Shalaby story it amazes me that the forums were not closed sooner, the beginning of the end for NFL.com was when game-centers (AKA spammed troll centers) were shut down in favor of Facebook (should've happened sooner, this is still working to this day). I'm glad panther had the idea of moving us away to the fan forums, since I didn't play FF there would have been no way for me to communicate with you guys. The downfall of NFL.com is still fresh in my mind, imagine how it was for people who never stepped foot in the graveyard, they had no idea how bad trolls were ruining everything.

Yeah the shit started in the game centers an once they shut it down some of it spilled over to the forum. Sad part is NFL had the people who could have saved the forum and stopped the trolls but they were too scared an tied the hands of their Mods so they couldn't stop it. Things is it wasn't just the NFL.com forums that ass wipe had shut down he's the reason for a couple more forums being shut down that were offered by other sites. Wonder what the dumb ass does now that all the forums are done ?

Honestly what was the point of even having it then? I have a hard time believing there is a troll worse than CS that could warrant the use of an IP ban. I bet that every forum could have been saved had an IP ban been used, all of the forums ended up failing anyway so I don't know what the thought process of holding the IP ban while not using it is. This is part of why I can't stand corporate politics.

That's the state of our world today, instead of punishing the guilty person or persons we make everybody pay for it cause we don't want to hurt someones little feelings. Good example of political correctness.

Wonder what the dumb ass does now that all the forums are done ? And to think.... I ACTUALLY had the balls to give this mofo my phone number, and got him to call me...YUP We talked for at least an hour one night, just days before the site was shut down. I was doing my BEST to talk some sense into him, and tell him to back-off. He eventually told me the damage had already been done a day or so earlier, when decided to make all of his phone calls to the main office in NY. He was so freaking mad because the "Graveyard" crew wanted NOTHING to do with his silly ass, and the fact we had no spots for him in our FF leagues. This IS a TRUE story my friends, just so you know. He told me himself how butt hurt he was over that. We ran him outta the "Graveyard", because he was a complete and utter fool... WAAAYYYY beyond the norm of a regular fool! I can't believe they(NFL) even took this clown seriously. How in the fuck could they allow ONE "person"(retard at that)to shut down an entire operation that affected many thousands of posters?!?! It's a damn shame, but like steelers1954 said, the NFL.com wasn't the only one he was able to get shut down. What REALLY drove him crazy, gathering through our telephone conversation, was the fact that MB(main mod at nfl.com) gave us our own forum to talk about "other topics", outside of football(the one place in which he wasn't accepted at). To be more specific, HITCH was upset about it at first(us being forced to another area with any non-related football post), and dubbed that area the "GRAVEYARD". Eventually, we convinced MB to actually name that area the 'Graveyard', instead of just "Other Topics". Once MB did THAT for us, this dude lost his damn mind. I KNOW, because I spoke to him personally. Talk about inside info... yeah.... I'm the one to talk to. I know it ALL.

To be more specific, HITCH was upset about it at first Yeah he was kinda upset but the more he thought bout it the more he liked the idea of havin' his own little place (or cell as he would say).

Signed in as MRS MB as to protect himself, because he was still fighting to get his job back at that time. craig440 actually reached out to him recently, and he posted "Hello" here just a few weeks ago. Myself and Craig are still friends with MB on Facebook, and I've talked to him on the phone....several times. Don't remember if Craig has or not? MB broke it all down for me, the entire "state of affairs" and all. He's one helluva fella, and ACTUALLY took part in the CTM league at one point. Unfortunately, I had to give him the boot, due to inactivity. He wasn't too upset, and understood. He had a LOT of procedures going on the past few years, with his health. Quite a few surgeries. He was going through a LOT, and I believe still is. Great guy, and an awesome friend. He told me that his hands were tied on the IP banning, and that NFL.com didn't have a system in place to do so. Must have been a money thing, and they didn't want to pay more people to keep it up and running....greedy fucking bastards...like they don't rake in enough dough already!!! My man lost his job over it all, and has never been the same since. I take that shit real personal. I did EVERYTHING in my power, to try and save the site, and his job. I honestly thought I could make it happen. Unfortunately, I was a day late and a dollar short.

MB is a good guy, I could tell he was being shit on back then, I remember the boss moderator (the man simply named NFLfantasymoderator) was the dick who just shut everyone out. I think that virtually every sports forum for the official websites is nothing but facebook now, maybe in their eyes it is better that way. I feel bad for all the mods that lost jobs because of it, there job was to keep trolls out, and instead the trolls ran wild. No skin off the boss's back when they cause the forum to be shut down.

Yes, MB was... and still is.... a great guy. Unfortunately, MB had to go away for a week or so, due to surgery. That's when it got out of control, and the other non-experienced assholes took over. Poor guy(MB) got blindsided when he came back! They took the easy way out, and ended the forums...and MB's job. It was fucked up, NO doubt! If his health was good and didn't need to take an absence, we would still have that place in tact. Nevertheless, this is where we stand today.

At one point, I thought that Dstep and Corndog were one in the same. I even started to believe that Hitch, Dstep and Corndog were all the same person. Even MB was confused at one point. I don't believe that anymore.
I feel bad now, cause I musta pissed Corndog off here. He kept on telling me that him and Dstep weren't the same person, but I just had a hard time believing that. Especially because of something that MB had told me he noticed. I think MB got mixed up and was mistaken. I gotta look back on all of my PM's here with Corndog. Should be an interesting read. I should probably share some of those PM's with you all. They are from several years ago, and all of this is now declassified.
