I'm confused. No mention of one of the most tragic days of history in the country? I'm assuming you purposely decided to NOT mention it?

I used to love looking at my sports cards. Thought I was making an investment for the future, then they flooded the market with some many different brands that it got watered down to the point of no worth
Ditto. My dad and I did a lot card shows etc. We made some pretty decent money (seemed that way when I was a kid at least) then we stopped and kept all of the good cards. They were worth about 10k at the time but probably only about 5k now if I had to guess. Just plan on passing them on to my son at this point.
Funny story. When I was about 10 years old I walked down to a card shop that was around the corner from our hotel at the beach. I stumbled upon a Nolan Ryan card that was marked for $1250. I offered the teenager worked 10 for it. He accepted it. When my dad and I were prepping for the next show he freaked out. Turns out the card was worth 15 hundred and they were selling it for $1,250. They writing was poor so it got put in the wrong place and sold it to me for $10. We sold it for about $1100 a couple years later and used that $1100 to help buy my first truck!

September 16,1620-The Pilgrims sail from England on the Mayflower. Reminded me of a great scene from a good movie The arrival of the Spanish in 1492 scene in the movie apocalypto.. while I know this is the Spanish arrival, still makes me ponder what it must have been like for the natives perspective.
