Was glad to see Michael Floyd catch a pass for a big gain.

Cardinals vs. ChargersJaron Brown has done well in the absence of John Brown. If there is any lingering issues with the latter, or any other injuries, Jaron could turn into a nice WR on this team. Palmer completed four of eight passes for 37 yards and a pick-six. No JOhn Brown or Fitz, and Floyd was only able to catch one pass for two yards. One of those preseason games for ARI.

Cardinals vs. TexansPalmer has not looked very sharp at all this preseason. Palmer completed five of nine passes for 64 yards, with a pair of interceptions. Palmer had a surprisingly poor preseason, completing 12 of 22 passes for 139 yards and three interceptions on five drives. He did lead the Cardinals on a eight-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on the second series in Saturday's game, but then a threw a pick-six on what ended up being his final snap of the evening. In all fairness, he hasn't had the services of Larry FItzgerald (knee) or John Brown (concussion) this preseason, but both are expected to be ready for Week 1. D.Johnson had six carries for 28 yards and a touchdown and one reception for no yards on two targets. David Johnson is the clear lead back in one of the NFL's most powerful attacks. He's also the clear favorite for passing-down and goal-line work. C.Johnson notched seven carries for 24 yards. While Chris Johnson ripped off a 13-yard run at one point, he otherwise didn't surpass four yards on any other rush and wasn't targeted in the passing game. M.Floyd corralled one of three passes for two yards. A bit concerning for me. Two of the starting WR triumvirate have also been sidelined -- John Brown (concussion) and Larry Fitzgerald (slight MCL sprain) -- so it's difficult to read into the capabilities of the first-team offense. Seeking the second 1,000-yard season of his career, Floyd should have access to plenty of targets under the free-wheeling style of head coach Bruce Arians.

Patriots vs. Cardinals (Week 1)Close game decided by 2pts that has to be very disappointing considering they lost at home to NE without Brady OR Gronk. Palmer: 24/37 with 271yds & 2tds with 0ints D.Johnson: 16car for 89yds & 1td with 4rec for 43yds. So far, atleast through 1 week, he's living up to the offseason hype. C.Johnson: 1car for 2yds? I suppose that also quells the any real concern for D.Johnson owners that Johnson was gonna cut into his workload in any significant matter. Fitz: 8rec for 89yds & 1td. He was seemingly everywhere, and had an impressive game. I doubt he'll be able to keep it up for an entire season, but he's good at proving people wrong for a long time now. Floyd: Was surprised only 3rec for 61yds & 0tds. Think he'll have a better game next week. J.Brown: just 1rec for 8yds? I never bought into the offseason hype for him like many others. I'm sure he'll have some really nice games, but he'll often put stinkers like this too.

Buccaneers vs. Cardinals (Week 2)Palmer finally looked good and into form. Larry Fitz is still amazingly doing well, but don't expect that all season. Sell high on him NOW, if you can. M.Floyd WILL eventually become the go-to-guy soon enough. Had a TD this game, but not much else. Don't give up on him. J.Brown will NOT live up to all of the offseason hype, lol. However, he IS now involved in the punt return game. Added bonus here at the CTM.

Cardinals lose veteran center A.Q. Shipley to torn ACL.
Not good news for Sam Bradford and that Cardinals offense.
