Good team. Average QB, but he doesn't make many mental errors and manages his team well. Maclin was a HUGE addition for this team. Good defense. I think a healthy Charles gets them into the playoffs.

Hey morkim, how you feel about Foles as your starting QB if Alex Smith goes down? I know how much you love Foles

Seahawks vs. ChiefsNice play from Alex Smith to Maclin. Pro bowl CB Marcus Peters(who I've never heard of before?) made a really nice INT of Wilson. Think Nick Foles is a perfect fit back with Big Red in KC as the backup QB. RB Ware seems to be the most likely #2 RB now in KC. Both him and presumably #3RB West looked good also.

Chiefs vs. RamsMaclin had a 20yd TD, and was later ejected for fighting. Ware carryied the ball 10 times for 37 yards and a touchdown. Charles and West both sat out. Considered a possibility as the team's goal-line back this season, it's unlikely he will see extensive action on Sundays unless the backs ahead of him should suffer injuries. Didn't see much of anything else in this game.

Chiefs vs. Bears A.Smith got plenty of work in Saturday's preseason victory over Chicago, completing 20 of 30 passes for 181 yards and rushing twice for 25 while playing the whole first half. Smith showed a solid rapport with top weapons Jeremy Maclin (five catches for 44 yards) and Travis Kelce (three catches for 37 yards). J.Charles is behind schedule in his recovery from last year's torn ACL and has not yet regained the role of featured back. Maclin caught five of his seven targets for 44 yards while playing the first half. Maclin's receptions all went for 10 yards or fewer, which is to be expected with accurate game manager Alex Smith throwing him the ball. Ware rushed a team-leading nine times for 24 yards and a touchdown. Ware worked with the first-team offense, and has emerged as the top Chiefs running back in the absence of Jamaal Charles (knee) and Charcandrick West (back).

Chargers vs. Chiefs (Week 1)A.Smith: 34/48 for 363yds, 2tds & 1int with 4car for 15yds & 1td. Throwing for that many yards sure was a surprise to see. Impressive game from him, no doubt. S.Ware: 11car for 70yds & 1td with 7rec for 129yds! HUGE day. Just like D.Williams in PIT, I'd be shocked if they don't keep him heavily involved in the game plan, even after Charles comes back. Kelce had a nice game. 6rec for 74yds but no TD. Maclin: 5rec for 63yds & 1td This was a wild game that KC was able to walk away with a win in. Seems like the momentum shifted once K.Allen got knocked out of the game.

Dang, sorry I missed morkim who's been on here today. Been wondering about the KC o-line that used to be so so so good just a couple (or was is really 3 or 4?!??) years ago. Cuz I was thinking of starting Alex Smith where it that made sense if I could. But it just didn't for me, except my Yahoo league where we have a QWRT spot, but Alex is taken. He's not projected to do well against the worst pass DEF (by far) in the league, Raiders (okay Jeppers - so you don't think I'm trying to hide stuff from you lol). Doing this at this risk of arming my opponents with my FF wisdom and prowess. Anyway, I think KC was riddled with injuries early, but I forget exactly.

I must admit that Iam a little worried about this game. The Chiefs are under-rated and always play us tough.
Kelce may go off this game and we wont be able to stop him.
Dunno how healthy J Charles is but Spencer Ware is a good back.
Im also worried about our running game. I dunno why Del Rio wants to put all these second rate RB's in there. When Murray is healthy he should be the man,
I look for Carr to have a decent game though.
This will probably come down to a field goal.

Very, very interesting. First the bad news on the Alex Smith dilemna, well at least for fantasy owners. 8 - 10.5 pts in most leagues. Now for 'real life' good news. Best game of the year for him statistically. 224 passing yds of nearly flawless football. Passer rating 109, completion 86.4%, 19 for 22. And they won 26-10. 26 pts, BRB, gotta be a pretty good day for the kicker. Okay, nope, nope - what the cluck. Gotta stop talking to meself.

First the bad news on the Alex Smith Yeah you said a mouth full. I play him because of the match-up sit Cousins and what happens? Smith puts up a stinker Cousins goes off sitting on my damn bench. By the way Nice game Bev.

By the way Nice game Bev. Thanks but it ain't over til it's over. Still need 30 pts outta Palmer & Fitz. Yeah, looks doable ATM. Yeah, agreed, with the matchup he still had a great game by most measures, just not where it counts in FF. No TDs or huge passing yds, just good efficiency, FWIW, right? lol
