Bortles seems like the real deal, and the defense is improved....bigtime

Oh no...Jalen Ramsey suffers small meniscus tear in right knee. For the second straight year the Jacksonville Jaguars' first-round pick suffered an injury in May. link

Buccaneers vs. JaguarsJalen Ramsey finally back on the field and makes a nice tackle for a loss of yards vs. Sims. Yeldon carried twice for 15 yards and scored on a 14-yard reception. Ivory carried six times for 25 yards. Ivory and T.J. Yeldon again shared the workload while the first-team offense was on the field, but Yeldon carried only twice, though he did find the end zone on a 14-yard reception. While it's unclear exactly how the carries will be split when the regular season rolls around, the more physical Ivory would appear to have a slight advantage at this point. Through two preseason games, he's racked up 51 yards on 12 carries, while Yeldon has run for 41 yards on six totes. Robinson caught four passes for 34 yards on five targets. Robinson drew five of 11 targets while Blake Bortles was in the game. Little question that Robinson is the top option. He caught three passes for 80 yards in the first preseason game, despite only playing two drives. Hurns caught a TD. Bortles threw two TD's and looks pretty good.

Jaguars vs. BengalsBortles completed 10 of 16 passes for 52 yards. Bortles didn't take any sacks or turn the ball over, but he had just one completion longer than eight yards despite playing the entire first half. Yeldon started Sunday's preseason game against Cincinnati, gaining 34 yards on five carries and losing two yards on three receptions, also losing a fumble. While Yeldon is clearly a threat to Ivory's early-down snap count, it does appear Ivory will open the season as the favorite to get a few more carries. Robinson caught four passes for 34 yards on five targets. Allen Hurns and T.J. Yeldon caught the touchdowns, but it was Robinson who drew five of 11 targets while Blake Bortles was in the game. Hurns caught two passes for 25 yards on four targets. Hurns was the only Jaguar to draw more than two targets in a first half that saw Blake Bortles throw for just 52 yards. Thomas had one catch for four yards on two targets. Thomas drew a target on 3rd-and-goal from the 11-yard line, but the pass was essentially uncatchable. Though he may lose some early-down snaps to Lewis, the 28-year-old Thomas still has a shot to establish himself as Blake Bortles' clear No. 3 option behind starring wideout duo Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns

I may even be inclined to root for them a little this year being that they are so close to me.
