Defense has sucked lately, and Bell has major injury risk. DeAngelo Williams has performed admirably though in Bell's absence. Best WR in the league, and Big Ben is one of the best QB's as well....but seems to be injured way too often. Suspension of Bryant hurt the team.

Eagles vs. SteelersEither the backup QB is REALLY bad, or the PHI D is really good/lucky? Coates caught two passes for 30 yards on four targets, adding one carry for nine yards. Coates hauled in an impressive 24-yard sideline grab, but he also had a route jumped for a pick-six -- the first of Landry Jones' four interceptions. Rogers, a 2015 UDFA, was one of the few bright spots for Pittsburgh's "first-team" offense...With Antonio Brown (coach's decision) and Markus Wheaton (undisclosed) held out. Wasn't much to see with all the key starters out...

Steelers vs. SaintsWho was Ben's 1st TD pass to? They never said. Oh yeah... my man Antonio making a huge TD catch from Ben. Verry happy to see that after picking him up in my trade with Jeffrey during the offseason. Bell is back on the field...[rubs eyes] yes, he's back on the field... but wait...he fumbles!

QB Brad Gradkowski placed on IR Steelers claim QB Zach Mettenberger off waviers. Hope he sticks around I'd like to see him beat out L.Jones for the back-up role.

Damn L.Jones has been in the system long enough to know the offense an he looked like shit during the preseason. I sure hope nothin' happens to Ben or we'll be in Trouble.

Me either, cause that's my only concern with Antonio Brown, is Big Ben getting injured. That would put a hurting on my season here in the CTM, as Brown was almost non-effective without Ben. How is your O-Line?

The Redskins' receivers will face a Steelers defensive backfield loaded with questions. Pittsburgh's first-round pick Artie Burns barely played this preseason while battling injury. That the Steelers traded for Browns castoff, Justin Gilbert, exemplifies a team searching for answers. With linebacker Bud Dupree out to start the season, Pittsburgh's pass rush looks shaky outside a seemingly immortal James Harrison. If Cousins has time to sit in the pocket, he could pick apart the Steelers secondary. The Steelers' offense will be without Le'Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant in Monday night's matchup, but at least Ben Roethlisberger has the best receiver in the NFL, Antonio Brown. In games Big Ben played last season (12), Brown averaged nearly 10 receptions per contest and over 133 receiving YPG. Had those averages been applied to the entire 16-game schedule, Brown would have set new NFL single-season records for targets (216), receptions (158), and receiving yards (2,133). The matchup between Brown and new Redskins talkative corner Josh Norman will be highlighted plenty on ESPN's broadcast. linkFuck....I got Antonio here at the CTM and forgot he faces Josh Norman this week. I sure do hope he lights up that shit talking CB, although I do feel like Norman's talent is legit. We'll find out this season just how legit he truly is. steelers1954

@doc
I'm not too worried about Norman unless the Redskins change things up and have him press Brown, but iirc Norman is mostly a zone CB. Breeland is the one I'm worried about, he might be just as good as Norman, and he has experience playing in the slot perviously and does a better job of locking down on the small shifty guys. Well at least better than Norman would.
I don't see the opposite wideout getting g open too often with the Redskin's duo. Fortunately, the Skins don't flip their corners often so the Steelers can pick the match ups they like. I expect a heavy dose of DWill against a weak run defense. Brown should be able to get his. Young Eli Rogers may be featured with the Redskins duo locking down the outside.
The Steelers have a significant advantage in the trenches on both sides and at QB, which should be the deciding factor in the game. The Redskins have a spotty OL, especially in the middle, I think Heyward, Tuitt, Hargrave, Shazier and Timmons will be dialing up heavy pressure from the middle, they just need Deebo and Moats/Chick/Jones to play contain against a shifty Cousins. If they can run the ball they'll win with ease, if they turn the ball over and the Redskins take advantage and turn it into a shoot out I don't feel as good about their chances with the Steelers CB depth issues.

Hey buddy, thanks. That was very insightful. I feel a little better now I really hope you guy's kick their ass all over the field. Finally, steelers1954 has another fan to talk with.

Steelers vs. Redskins (Week 1)Big Ben: 27/37 with 300yds, 3tds & 1int. Antonio: 8rec for 126yds & 2tds. And here I was worried about Norman. WAS is by nature a very dumb organization. Norman should have followed him everywhere he went, but I'm glad he didn't. Wanted to the Skins lose and I have Brown in the CTM. E.Rodgers: This kid took full advantage of his opportunity and looked good out there. 6rec for 59yds & 1td D.Williams: Still doing his thing in a BIG way in the absence of Bell. 26car for 143yds & 2tds with 6rec for 28yds. I don't see how they phase him out when Bell does come back as they did last season. S.Coates: Only 2rec for 56yds, but one of em' was a big play for a 42yd rec.

Well i can't wait to quickly forget about that game. Yikes what a mess.
The rain killed any chance of there being a high scoring game. I thought it was going to be 07 Mud Bowl again. Both QBs and WRs on both teams looked like garbage, even Brown and AJ. Thankfully Williams showed up to play again, I can't wait to get both Bell and Williams on the field.
The officiating straight up sucked. Possibly missed a TD and a non-fumble for the Bengals that could have tied it up if the situation was perfect (nothing in the game was perfect). Missed holding calls, wrongfully called and uncalled pass interference calls, Dansby mugged Brown in the end zone. And at least two helmet to helmet shots against the Bengals on Ben and one of our receivers that were missed.
