Think Shady could bounce back as a top 5 RB again this year. Also think Watkins is primed for a breakout season, if he's not hampered by injury. Defense seems legit for the most part. Not sure about the QB situation.

Colts vs. BillsReggie Bush returning punts is interesting. Shady had a nice cutback scramble. EJ Manuel looked ok, believe it or not. Didn't see Tyrod out there. Maybe he's hurt?

Giants vs. BillsTyrod with an impressive spin move to avoid a sack and nice long throw down the field to Charles Clay and threw a nice TD pass to Shady. Think he looks good. If Watkins can stay on the field, he should have a really nice season.... Watkins didn't suit up though? Precautionary, but still worrisome. McCoy finished with zero yards on five carries? However, he DID catch four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown, and seems to have moved beyond the ankle issue that troubled him during the offseason. Still though, zero yards on five carries scares me. I was seeing a lot of that in Philly before he left, although our O-line was in shambles, so IDK what to make of it now.

Bills vs. RedskinsI'm not sure what to think here. Bills D is supposed to be good, correct? Maybe not everyone was playing, but the skins put a lickin' on that D. Rex didn't really have his starters in on offense, even though this game is traditionally a dress rehearsal for week one of the regular season. Nothing to see here. Damn you Rex!

Rex Ryan's defense had a notoriously poor season last year, dropping from first in sacks (54 in 2014) to 31st (21 in 2015). The garrulous Ryan insists his defense will turn it around in 2016, but is already without Marcell Dareus (suspension), Shaq Lawson and Reggie Ragland. Keep an eye on how much pressure Ryan's front gets on Joe Flacco, who is coming off an ACL injury. The Bills offense averaged 7.5 more PPG when QB Tyrod Taylor, RB LeSean McCoy and WR Sammy Watkins all played (10 of 16 games last season). If that trio can stay healthy and on the field, BUF should be a viable playoff contender, IMHO. link nateball

Everyone around these parts was expecting with Rex's nose for elite defensive coaching that he'd turn the Bills unit into the freaking '85 Bears. Something went terribly wrong and the defense fell flat on it's face and they finished a bottom five defense. What Rex admitted to was that he took over a unit that was a dominant 4-3 unit and tried keeping the defense as much of the same while transitioning it to his 3-4. He saw how flawed this was. There was no pressure on the QB, and the run stopping was non-existent. He was trying too hard to run someone else's defense in order to keep them elite because he was afraid to change anything. He's a 3-4 guy, he always has been. In hindsight, he should have just ripped the bandaid off and switched to the 3-4 completely. This year his D is a no bones about it 3-4. He brought in his brother Rob, who everyone around the league knows no other teams wanted anymore. The Ryan brothers, reunited in Buffalo. It's paid dividends already. Even without Lawson, Ragland, Kyle Williams(recovering most of the offseason from injury) and now Dareus, the few remaining starters have shone and the the D has looked aggressive and leaps and bounds better than last year. They also brought in Ed Reed to coach what's already a Pro Bowl secondary.

I was expecting big things from that D last season, and picked them up in several fantasy leagues. Strange how it turned out. It's pretty cool that the Ryan brothers are there together now. Ed Reed can't hurt either. Good luck this season.

I have to be honest, not thrilled about the Thursday Night matchup. But not an east coast guy either. Still, there isn't shit on, so I will probably watch the game.

Not looking good. Statistically speaking, teams that start out 0-2 have about a 12% chance of making the playoffs. Something like that.

Jets vs. Bills (Week 2)Bills drop to 0-2. Nate has to be steaming. T.Taylor:15/22 for just 111yds with 0tds and only 11yds rushing yds in week 1. Did he leave that game with an injury at some point? Much better this game, but unfortunately in a losing effort. 18/30 for 297yds, 3tds & 1int with 2car for 25yds. The offensive coordinator was just fired, but not sure that's gonna help much, at least early on. Are they gonna run a different offense now, after preparing all offseason for the one they've played the 1st two weeks? Shady: 15car for 59yds with 4rec for 31yds but 0tds. Did have a TD in week 1, but his avg yds per carry was pretty low and had 4rec for just 12yds(?) in week 1. M.Goodwin stole the show with 112rec yds & 184yd td. Watkins: Disappointing once again. He's clearly not even close to being fully recovered?
