Doesn't surprise me that the Patriots are who we draw in the Super Bowl. Atlanta is the only team that can stop Brady from becoming the GOAT with 5 Super Bowl rings. I'm not exactly confident, but we shall see.

It's gotta help the Falcons D, right? It surely helps JJ. Gotta be honest, don't know much about their defense, but hoping they show up.

If Gronk was on the field it would be terrible for us because no one on our defense could match up with him, Bennett on the other hand isn't as much of a threat as Gronk, but I expect him to have a good day. The only way I see Atlanta winning is if they become like the 2006 Colts and win 38-34 in the closing seconds. But if there were ever to be a year where New England lost the Super Bowl to an up and coming team it would be this year, these Patriots aren't littered with Hall of Famers on defense, I think they are young and a product of Belichick's system. But at the same time, they are the best team in the league right now, it will have to be a battle for Atlanta to win. Otherwise New England could turn it into a blowout.

But at the same time, they are the best team in the league right now, it will have to be a battle for Atlanta to win. Otherwise New England could turn it into a blowout. I had since done a bit of research to learn that almost all their starting secondary are rookies to 3rd year, and 1st and 2nd rounders with the exception of rookie Campbell, 4th round. If the right coaching and leadership is there, I don't see how you could remotely fathom this being a blowout. Or maybe you're preparing for the worst. On paper, Falcons raw talent on DEF is far superior to NE, but key word 'raw', at least for the secondary. Passing game goes to Matty, JJ, & Co, especially if Bennett is little more than a blocker and decoy. Run game is almost a wash. Overall player and play off experience goes to NE in droves. Coaching and 16 years of Brady-Belichick in each other's heads, well.... that's the biggest X factor by far IMHO. Bottom line, I also think that youth and inexperience could work in the Falcon's favor. They may feel like they're playing with house money, know what I mean? Not as much pressure, cuz no one expected them to be there. If the DEF is coached well enough and they play lights out, I think they have this thing. EDIT: Upon further review, and I'm certainly no expert on the matter, but could the Falcon's weakest link be FS Ricardo Allen? It's usually the free safety's job to figure out what the QB is gonna do after the snap. Devin McCourty is probably miles ahead of him, but IRDK.

The Patriots have played almost the entire NFC in superbowls.
Bears Giants x 2 Falcons Panthers Seahawks Eagles Rams Packers
THAT is awesome.

But what is really impressive is it all happened under the current regime. Did they win much b4 the Brady era? Meaning this was not a long historied, storied franchise like the Pack or Steelers. EDIT: I sure hope it's close, for maybe selfish reasons. I wanna see the best out of both teams.

The only thing that I will say is that if Belichick does what he has in the past with taking out great offenses there is a great chance this game will not be close. However, if Atlanta breaks the trend there is a chance. But then it's a shootout and who feels confident in shooting out against Brady? I never expected to be here and the outcome likely won't be in our favor, but there is something different about this team when compared to the other Falcons teams of the past.

Patriots 37 Falcons 21 I was too young at the time, but as a Raiders fan what is your opinion of the "Tuck Rule" game? Without it, I doubt Brady is in this game come Sunday.

But you're not really shooting out against Brady of course, it's their DEF. Look at how the Giants beat them. I see distinct similarities in how the Falcons can exploit them. Pats DEF is actually a little better thamn it was then, but the Falcons have a better offense than the Giants did. Yeah, there was the famous Tyree helmet catch as well is the Plaxico toe drag swag, but still... Anyway, I'm rootin' for ya, big time.

EDIT: I sure hope it's close, for maybe selfish reasons. I wanna see the best out of both teams. New England was competitive alot in the past. First with the Grogan/Irving Fryar/ Andre Tippett era and then again with Bill Parcells when they had Bledsoe/Curtis Martin. Both teams made it to the superbowl. Then when Bledsoe got hurt,Brady took over for good. They were already good,,,And BB coached under Parcells. Then he became head coach and Tom Brady was drafted. The rest is history. Im not a Patriots fan....But you gotta give credit where credit is due. They have done things other teams only dream about. I think they have exceeded anything the Steelers,Raiders,Cowboys and Packers have EVER done.

I hate that game, lol. But seriously...the Patriots have blown alot of chances to make even more superbowls. Bill was the blame for the 4th down play against the Colts in the playoffs back in 2009 and then last year against the Broncos. They should have made both superbowls there too. It was a bad call against the Raiders...but I dont have a doubt that he would have been here in his 5th superbowl.

Cordarrelle Patterson 'turning heads' in camp
The Providence Journal's Mark Daniels writes Cordarrelle Patterson has been "turning heads" as a receiver during training camp.
Daniels adds Patterson had made "highlight-reel" catches the "routine" during practice. "We come out and just try to make plays and try to make each other better each and every day," Patterson said of his strong showing. "Don’t matter what the situation is. No matter who guards you. Just go out there, have fun and just make plays." Patterson has struggled as a receiver throughout his career, but his playmaking ability is undeniable, and New England has serious questions behind Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan. Patterson is worth a look in deep leagues.
