So you still have no running game? Who was the last true featured RB there? Tiki Barber? Sheesh If a defense doesn't respect the run game, it really makes your offense very one-dimensional against good defenses. Barkley has to be our first pick this year. A franchise RB anyone else will be less than satisfactory to me.

You should be happy about this one, danb6177. Solder took less money to stay in New England the last time around. Now the 29-year-old is cashing in. Rapoport reported the Giants are giving Solder a four-year contract worth $62 million with $35 million guaranteed -- $15.5 million per season. The deal makes him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.

Yeah man...highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL? We know he's not the best at his position. Then again, Bradford may be the highest paid QB in the league per game this season, so who the hell knows anymore? That's why I love our front office guy's. Howie Roseman has been nothing short of genius since Chip Kelly got canned.

If the Giants want to get better on their offensive line since they signed Solder why don't they resign J.Pugh?

If the Giants want to get better on their offensive line since they signed Solder why don't they resign J.Pugh? I think it was a choice. Pay Pugh big money or solder big money. Can’t afford both. Pugh has been a disappointment for the most part. He hasn’t been bad mind you but not what he was originally billed to be.

Pugh officially gone. Im good with that. A recap of signings so far
CB Teddy Williams tries to add depth but not really... LT Nate Solder will be an upgrade IMO OG Patrick Omameh added to beef up the line..we will see OLB Kareem Martin and LB Alec Ogletree added. Our LBers sucked last year so this has to be better. I have always liked Ogletree so I was happy to see this DT Robert Thomas..dont know this dude RB Jonathan Stewart YES!!!! I cant believe we got him!! oh wait its not 2009? fuck
I may be missing a few. Not including resigns. God we better get Barkley

The more I pay attention the more its becoming clear that the giants are not going to take Barkley at 2. The only hope now is trading to say 5 and grabbing a better pick selection overall and possibly getting him there. Not sure he makes it to 5 tho.

its becoming clear that the giants are not going to take Barkley at 2 I think it all depends on what the Browns do at #1. Do they take their QB at #1 or take Barkley then get their QB at the #4 pick? If Barkley is there at #2 I don't see how the Giants could take any other player unless it would be for a QB.

They also may trade the 4 and get a better draft, hard to say now for sure. The giants taking a qb at 2 doesnt seem likely. They have a really weird thing going on with eli. Like if they fix other stuff he will come back to life or something. I like webb personally. At this point I hope we trade the pick. I dont see barkley coming our way so I think we can get a better draft trading it.

And the smartest thing they could do is to trade him also.
