I hope I'm missunderstanding this. Because the way I see it this would be down at the three yard line. I think this rule is huge. How can you not dive?

That means a player can’t be hit after he goes into a head-first dive, and it also means the ball will be spotted at the point where the player began to dive, rather than at the point where the player finished moving forward. " And how are they gonna figure that out within a yard of accuracy, much less inches? And "What!?! I was just lowering my head, ref". Between the instant replay and arguing, this will probably add a good 15 - 20 minutes a game on average. I don't think this rule will last the season. lol It's a short article, but pretty 'to the point', you should all read it.
