As most of you know, I literally thought I was ready to have a heart attack or stroke, about a month or so ago. I felt that way off and on for about 6-8 weeks, with irregular and heavy heart beats, and even had a bit of slight chest pain on my right side, which further scared the shit out me... even though the pain was only if/when I moved in certain directions, and on my right side. I was a complete mess, not sure if I was coming or going. I was hardly even able to sleep at night. I thought it might be stress related, and since I don't currently have health insurance to cover high priced MRI's or what not, I decided to ride it out and see a doctor for stress medication first, before going to a hospital. I feel very thankful and blessed to say, that since taking anti-stress medication, I haven't been experiencing those same symptoms any longer, for the most part. Doesn't rule out other possible underlying issues, outside of just stress, but I'm just so glad to be feeling better, at least and if only for now. In fact, I've actually been feeling good enough to work on installing a pool in my yard these past few days, without any issue. I just take a lot of breaks. lol Levelling out ground for a pool is a lot of work when doing it old school... with just a tiller, shovels and a wheelbarrow. All these damn tree roots have been the main issue. Still got half to dig out, and then lay down and level the sand, but the deepest end of dirt moving is done.

Glad your feeling better, and yeah there are better ways to dig a pool lol. But old school is more satisfying.

Glad your feeling better, and yeah there are better ways to dig a pool lol. But old school is more satisfying. Ty, and yes, hiring someone to come in with a backhoe would've been the easiest and quickest way. However, it would've cost close to a $1,000 to hire a company to come in and do that, and would've had to remove a part of my fence for it to get in, and then put the fence back up myself. Instead, got a neighbor helping out, bringing in his tiller, shovels and wheelbarrow. Only paying him $500 total, and he's doing most of the work, and that includes helping to install the pool when it gets here. Besides, I needed a good cardiovascular workout, now that I'm finally feeling better. I been pacing myself and taking breaks though, as to not push my luck. Got my son out here helping too. Some good tunes in the background, and a LOT of Gatorade. Right now, life is good... one day at a time.

Glad you feel better. My ex father in law was the biggest bad ass ever. he dug his pool with a pick, shovel and wheelbarrow. It was 38 feet long, 18feet wide and eight feet deep in the deep end. When he told me to do something I said "yes sir"

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Good that you are taking a lot of breaks remember to drink plenty of water also, gotta be careful working in the heat. We've been starting at 8am, and ending around noon, before the heat becomes too fierce. Plenty of Gatorade, and plenty of breaks. I'm just so glad though, that I haven't felt irregular or heavy heartbeats while working. Such a huge relief, at least for now. Crossing my fingers and praying it stays that way. I literally thought I was about to die a little more than 30 days ago, the way I was feeling. I love y'all, hope that you all are able to enjoy the rest of your summer, and make the most of it. Everyday is so precious. We so often forget that and take each day for granted. Get out there and enjoy it(life) to the fullest, each and everyday that your blessed so enough to do so. I'm hoping with new weather, Jeff, that you'll be able to enjoy what's left of the summer as well. [crosses fingers]

Got another quarter of the pie dug up today. One more quarter to go before we bring in the sand. If it wasn't for all these damn tree roots, we'd already have the sand in by now. Look at this shit... two whole cans of thick roots and a few piles too.... Unfortunately, I think the last quarter still needing to be dug out, is probably going to have the biggest and most roots of them all. argh

So much for working on the pool for a bit. You'll have to turn your head to watch this one though. haha.
Smart phones aren't so smart. At least not my POS. Figured when I turned it, the footage would adjust too. lol
Not the case. Bite me.

After weeks of hard labor, and weeks of rain delays, the pool is finally done. I know it looks a little crooked in the picture, but it's not. Just the way I had the camera tilted when I took it.
