Who described the Titans as lowly in the playoff thread? No playoff team is lowly. We are now officially one of the best 8 teams in the NFL, and all with a shitty OC. Not much chance against the Pats unless Henry runs hard and the pass D steps up a notch or 3.

Who described the Titans as lowly in the playoff thread? That would be me. I didn't really think they stood much of a chance vs. KC, especially in KC. They deserve some respect for showing heart and resolve like that to claw their way back into that game and coming away with the win. Kudos I never knew you were a Titans fan.

I became an Oilers fan back in 1984. The NFL was pretty low key back in those days in the UK. No internet etc. I used to subscribe to a newspaper called touchdown that had columns by the Falcons kicker Mick Luckhurst (remember him). No reason why I chose the Oilers other than a great looking helmet and nice colours. Years later Warren Moon, Ernest Givins and Curtis Duncan became superstars in my eyes...then Steve McNair, Eddie George, Bruce Matthews, CJ2K and of course who cannot fail to remember Frank Wycheck and that awesome lateral against (the Music City Miracle) to Kevin Dyson in 2000 against Buffalo. Amazing!!!! I followed the Oilers over to the Titans rather than the new Houston team which I pretty much hate being a Titans fan.
There you go!!!

Eagle fans remember it as "The House of Pain Game." That was the night the Eagles put the Oilers' Run and Shoot offense out of business. The Eagles won 13-6 in one of the best defensive performances ever on Monday Night Football.[/i] The Oilers came into the game with a 9-3 record powered by their prolific offense which was averaging more than 400 yards per game. The Oilers were, indeed, putting up big scores, especially at home. They were unbeaten in the Astrodome that season with lopsided wins over the Raiders (47-17), Broncos (42-14) and Bengals (35-3). That's how the Astrodome got the nickname "The House of Pain."But the Eagles came into the game on a roll. They were 7-5 due mostly to injuries at quarterback - they had gone through four of them since Randall Cunningham went down in Week 1 - but they had won four in a row going into Houston and the Eagles defense was crushing people. It was ranked first against the run, first against the pass and first overall. No defense since the Minnesota Vikings in 1975 could make that claim. The national TV audience settled in for what was billed as a matchup of great offense versus great defense. What they saw was a total beatdown administered by the Eagles. Bud Carson's defense sacked quarterback Warren Moon four times, forced five turnovers and limited the Oilers to two Al Del Greco field goals. Linebacker Seth Joyner was all over the field, recording eight solo tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two sacks. linkThis video is fucking awesome. Love that old music they used to insert on highlight reels * I'm obviously biased in my opinion, but I truly feel the Eagles had the best defense of all-time that season *

Doc that defense in my eyes was one of the Top 10 all time defenses.
I dont think they put the run and shoot and certainly not the Oilers out of business.
Maybe for that game. lol..
Warren Moon. Wow blast from the past.

This kind of language should be banned!!!! This is the worst kind of vulgarity a person can speak. It is offensive and has no place on this site. Simply disgusting!!! I'm more offended then a group of ultra liberal feminist lesbian Hillary supporters at a Donald Trump rally where he is talking about pussy!
