Thank you for your services, Mr. Smith, but it's time to move on. Early on I thought he was dropping passes a bit to often, and he tended to disappear for long stretches (since they didn't throw it his way a whole lot), but this guy made big plays and in big games when he did make plays. He's never been an elite WR, but he is a baller who's known for the "home-run" type plays. We're in desperate need of cap savings though, and we got a young CB to add to our DB depth. Torrey did have some really awesome plays for us though. Best of luck to him in Carolina. Judging from what I saw, he's probably got at least a few more productive seasons left in his tank.

Damn, that is some pretty big news, and no worries... I just changed the name of this thread to include trade news as well. No sense in having separate threads for the both.

We've heard the rumors floating around for awhile now, so it comes as no huge surprise, but Sherman is officially a FA now and no longer a Seahawk.
That team was so good defensively for so long, but it now looks like that's all over for them, as their key cog of defensive players are mostly all gone.

Hey divebitch & indydave , you know Aqib Talib is no longer part of your DEN secondary, right? He's still a really good CB, but he's getting older now and has a big contract. DEN defense isn't the same without him though, is it? He went to the Rams, who most likely now have the best secondary with the additions of Talib & ex-Chief Marcus Peters.

He deserves better than that. His career is all but over. I dunno about over. They still have a good front line and now Taylor having Landry and Gordon to throw to. Looks pretty ok to me and they may also draft a RB at 1 or 4. This could be the best thing to happen to Landry

That was my first inclination until I viewed his page. 6'3" 247#, r u kidding me!?! Undrafted, 13 catches 2016, 11 in 2017. It's not like they had a lot of solid weapons either. IDK how twitchy or fast he can be at that size. I'm thinking they draft a RB out of this good class. My point was 'do they have something in mind for the boost in salary cap space?' Maybe njc71 could chime in, someday. lol Coaching staff had previously mentioned about getting Henry more involved in the passing game. Personally, I don't think he'll get more than 25-30 catches tops. With that said, yeah... they're most likely to bring in a FA RB who can also catch the ball. They sure could use a legit #1 WR, no? Yeah, I mean Mariota sucks but at took care of the fumbling issues. This UDFA has 2 seasons under his belt, and the catches did not improve, got worse. To me, 20 - 25 or 30 are 'iffy' numbers. 11 catches means he almost can't, cuz you know a RB ain't going long too often. I'd like to know how many attempts were chucked his way. Anyway, they could surely use a little help at WR, but they are adequate. Look at what Decker did w/Peyton (unfair comparison? maybe lol), 85 & 87 catches 1k & 1.2k yd seasons. I'm thinking they really badly need to shore up that o-line if Mariota is getting sacked so much. TBH, that whole division is the furthest off my radar. lol Edit: Oh, yeah, an all-purpose RB, one who can catch is probably high on their list.
