Megatron says he would've kept playing if Detroit was actually a real contender.
"If we would have been a contender it would have been hard to let go," Johnson said.

Bengals vs. LionsStafford nice 30 something yd throw to Marvin Jones, but no TD. Throws a pick 6. Completed 8-of-11 passes for 113 yards. With Eric Ebron (ankle) sidelined, seven of Stafford's eight completions went to either Marvin Jones or Golden Tate, with the remaining completion going to the newly-acquired Anquan Boldin. The only other player he targeted was RB Theo Riddick. Marvin Jones caught four passes for 65 yards on five targets. Golden Tate suffered a minor injury in last Thursday's preseason loss to the Bengals. Tate had 3 rec for 41yds.

Lions vs. RavensLooked like a boring game to me for DET. Stafford played the entire first half, but the Lions still struggled as a whole, failing to breach the goal line. Now, through three preseason games with Stafford at the helm, Detroit is yet to score a touchdown and has converted just 3-of-4 field goal attempts while turning the ball over twice. I've got Stafford in my money league to cover me until Brady gets back. He has one of the easiest schedules for a QB this season, but now I'm a little worried about him to cover me the first 4 weeks, even with an easy schedule. That offense ain't looking good right now.

Haven't really looked at them yet, but I should. They are our season opener. Think this is the first time in years we have started out with a home game. With so many players out with injuries, I have a real concern about anyone we play at this point.

inoccent Great to see a new/old friendly face. Your team is giving me mini-fits between Riddick & Abdullah (sp?) - then today louder murmers about the new guy Zenner. Thanks Dive! As for the Lions RBs and fantasy, I'd only start Abdullah if you are really desperate as of right now. He'll be fine for some points but imo there's alot more safer starts than him. Riddick is the only one I see as starter worthy right now, especially in a PPR league seeing as most of his production comes from receiving. As for Zenner, I'm still in the I'll believe it when I see it mode. He looked great last preseason and didnt look too bad in the regular season but he went down with a season ending injury before he could get it going too much. Well thank you! Wasn't thinking of starting him, but in one league, CTM, a 10 teamer I drafted the SOB in the 6th round (it's keeper, so the pickins were way slimmer than a non-keep). I had keepers in 7th thru 10th round, so it was an act of hopeful desperation. lol He'll probably be the first casualty there. Anyway, this just in on Riddick, who I do have in my Yahoo. Already dropped Buck Allen, so hoping for the best here...

All offseason the Lions have been talking about wanting to start running the ball more and he's the only proven option right now at RB. Riddick is a great receiver but a poor runner and Zenner and Washington are both unproven players at this point so most of the carries will go to Abdullah. I just don't have much faith in the oline to open the holes for him as of right now. Hopefully I'm wrong

Expect Matthew Stafford to throw the ball all over the field Sunday afternoon. Jim Bob Cooter plans to utilize more up-tempo offense in 2016, which will aid a questionable offensive line. Golden Tate and Marvin Jones have big advantages this week, as will pass-catching back Theo Riddick against slow Colts linebackers. The Lions and Colts are the only two teams in the NFL that have not had a player rush for 100-plus yards in any game over the last two seasons. linkinoccent

Was a high scoring shootout that had to be exciting to watch. Nail-biter huh?

Was a high scoring shootout that had to be exciting to watch. Nail-biter huh? I hate close games. Yeah they are exciting and all but they stress me out way too much. This is the second most stressed I've ever been during a game. The only other one that was worse was when we beat the Packers in Lambeau last season. I couldn't even watch the FG try

I couldn't even watch the FG try I hear ya on that. I think we all like to have a comfortable lead and not have to worry the entire time. It can be rather stressful. I was yelling at the TV earlier watching my team. It was close at one point, just a field goal in favor of my team, and the momentum had started to shift. Thankfully we righted the ship and took over the game....won by 19pts

Was a high scoring shootout that had to be exciting to watch. Nail-biter huh? Depends on your point of view. Our defense whiffs on running backs they get hands on in the backfield. We lose our rookie safety who was standing in because of injury. Our second string CBs go down and we are playing hockey players. We give Bradford time to do his grocery list and make reservations before throwing the ball. Then we actually get the lead with seconds left, and play a prevent (which means prevents you from winning) defense that allows the Lions to march down the field and win the game. Not going to even discuss the O-line. I am at the point of regurgitation as it is.
