ATL gave this game away. I now hate them for doing so. After the great catch from Julio, they were in FG range. A FG would've won the game IMO. Last thing they could afford to do was let the QB drop back and take a big loss of yardage. All they had to do was run...run...run...kick FG = Game OVER. What do they do though? They have the QB drop back and take a big loss on a sack, then take another penalty to knock them out of FG range. They deserved to lose...SMH i think they wanted to pad his stats for sb mvp. i have no idea why they didn't run more. i know coleman got hurt but they still had freeman. use the beast. sometimes coaches get too cute. you can't do that against the pats as they will make you pay

I mean it sucks but at the same time I am feeling good. I've watched this team for 10 years and losing to the GOAT in the biggest game is nothing to be ashamed of. This team won't be back in the game next year, but I'd be shocked if we don't make it back at least one more time in the Ryan era.

They beat us by a FG in the SB. Glad they made it though and put on a good show. If not for the coaching/play calling mistakes towards the end of the game, you all would have won, IMO.

I'll go as far as to say if we played against any of the other AFC teams in the playoffs, and put them down 28-3, it would have been a blowout. But that's why I don't feel bad, New England deserved to win and rightfully cement their legacy. We'll likely see them week 1 next year, and that will be a good rematch.

Also Doc tell me about Chip Kelly, he is likely to replace Kyle Shanahan. I saw how he transformed Nick Foles into something special, but other than that I have no idea.

Actually, I think Foles did some real nice things when Reid was still here too, so it's hard to say, in that context. I liked Chip, at first. I'd NEVER trust him with personnel decisions, but I do think with the talent you already have in ATL, he "could" be effective. I mean, how could you NOT with that type of talent? I think the problem with him is his predictability on play-calling. At least it was that way here. Sure, he was limited on play-makers at the skilled positions, but he was also the one to get rid of the most talented weapons we had here. His lack of changing up the game-plan, during a game...really does disturb me. He is also against taking many deep shots down field, because he thinks it takes too long for his offense to get back to the line of scrimmage for his fast paced offensive ideology to work correctly. I'd be a little worried if I were you, to be perfectly honest. While I DO like his original premise of the fast paced offense, and the advantages it has, I'm more concerned at his lack of knowing when and how to implement it properly and adjust it during the actual game...when need be. Once defenses had time and film to study on him, he was rather predictable.

Be happy it ain't Chip. IDK how this isn't obvious, but it should be something to be grateful for.

So the first big loss for Atlanta comes in the form of fullback Patrick Dimarco headed to Buffalo. It sucks to see him go. It's really tough for a team that makes it to the Superbowl to retain most of it's players that helped them make it there, as they then become hot commodities all of a sudden, just because they made it to the big game....even if they didn't win.

I mean he likely will be the biggest loss, with Trufant, Schaub, Allen resigning. Paul Worrilow is going to the lions (no surprise) but overall I think Atlanta can survive without a great fullback as long as they get an average replacement.

Well, if he returns to his 13' & 14' form, looks like a solid producer on the the D-Line. Last few seasons don't weren't very productive ones for him though?

I mean he is replacing an aging vet in Babineaux, and this is clearly a one year "prove it" deal with incentives. And from what I heard he took less money to sign with Atlanta so hopefully for his and our sake he'll do great.
