Really? Near the level of AP? I haven't really had the opportunity to see him plat at all yet. What makes you believe he can be that good? Flashes of plays from his rookie year, or his college career? Not sure on this, but I think I also heard he's been returning kicks so far in camp? Where they both had fumble issues but Peterson eventually got better in that regard. Outside of last year maybe, lol. AP had the most fumbles(7) of all RB's, outside of only Bobby Rainey(8). However, all of Rainey's were recovered by his own team except one. AP had 3 of them lost to the other team.

I can remember a critical game in 2008 in which Atlanta played at Minnesota with playoff position on the line. Singlehandedly AP fumbled 3 times with Atlanta recovering 2 in rout to a 24-17 upset. Also in the 2009 NFC championship against New Orleans AP had 2 fumbles that probably would've taken a lot more shade off of Brent Favre had they been recovered by New Orleans. Coleman had fumbles against the vikings and saints last year that looked a lot like early AP fumble problems. But I know Coleman can play, but the question is will it be from the backfield or special teams.

Well, Atlanta wins 23-17 in a meaningless game. Matt Ryan doesn't complete a pass and the defense looked effective, as well as many of the backups. Further evaluation is needed however.

Yeah, first preseason game is pretty rough. Most teams don't let the starting offensive players stay in after one drive. My starting QB didn't even get the chance to complete a pass. First offensive series started near the opposition's red zone, due to a turnover. Think it was 3 runs for Ryan Matthews for a TD. That was basically it for the starters.

Good win tonight, I think RG3 will surprise people this year, he still has a cannon for an arm. Matt Ryan looked like he returned to normal and the running game looked stellar. The defense had an off night minus Adrian Clayborn, but these things happen so I won't dwell on either performance because it is the preseason.

Four carries for 42 yards and a touchdown ain't too shabby. RB Coleman gained only 16 yards on five carries, not very good, although some say he's a valuable handcuff to Freeman. I just don't see anything he's done worth proving that yet. Newly acquired WR Mohamed Sanu got involved, catching three balls for 45 yards. Ryan completed 6-of-11 passes for 78 yards, better than last outing, but still about 50% completion percentage. Not very good. Did Julio play? ATL wins the game, but maybe should be concerned about the defense.

Last game couldn't have gone much worse than it did. But I won't know about the team until it gets on the field, for now all I can do is wait until the regular season. Thank goodness that Neal and Clayborn will be back in time for the regular season.

Falcons vs. DolphinsNot many highlights for the falcons here. Freeman and Coleman bottled up by MIA D, and Julio leaves early with a sore ankle.

Well, it's cut time guys. Safe to say we are overstocked at RB and WR. Everywhere else is set, it's time to see how it all works.

The Falcons' defense was better than the sum of its parts in 2015. Will an infusion of young speed help Dan Quinn's unit soar in his second season? Rookie linebackers Deion Jones and De'Vondre Campbell are set to start in their opening game. What the duo lacks size, it makes up in quickness and sideline-to-sideline ability. Atlanta still has huge holes at pass rusher despite the addition of spin-move machine Dwight Freeney. Slowing down Julio Jones is always the key when facing Atlanta. The addition of Mohamed Sanu is an upgrade over the spare parts the Falcons deployed last year. The passing game battle between Matt Ryan and the Grimes-Verner-Hargreaves trio will be pivotal in Week 1. The Falcons scored 32.4 PPG in their first five games of 2015 (5-0 start) before losing eight of their final 11 games with a meager 16.1 PPG. link 7007

We can forget about any possible good things happening this season if Atlanta doesn't come back in the second half. Miserable stretch ahead, it's a close game we have here so hopefully the comeback can happen, but things don't look good as of right now.

Close but not today. Could go 0-5 could go 4-1, but I just don't know. That performance was terrible.

Buccaneers vs. Falcons (Week 1) M.Ryan: 27-39 for 334yds & 2tds T.Coleman: 8car for 22yds(2.8avg) with 5rec for 95yds Freeman: 11car for 20yds(1.8avg) DAMN, either they both are terrible at actually running the ball, or that O-line is getting ZERO push.
Sanu: 5rec for 80yds & 1td Julio: 4rec for 66yds & 1td

Didn't see this one coming, almost a must-win due to the really tough schedule ahead. The running game looked great, Ryan made one terrible throw but looked amazing in the no-huddle. Defense is still not looking good.
